We look all set to roll over again

Yeah switched it off as this is going to end badly... Four defeats in a row...... Even though the team played better today this isn't good for MON.

Just stopped at Gloucester services. Assume it hasn’t improved?

Will, since the sending off and the subsequent goal, we've been under the cosh.

Sums up the season that 5 minutes. That does look pretty harsh given he missed the player and there were covering defenders. Leicester fans were keen to say what a loose cannon Benny is but he’s been pretty good for us and looked very solid when Milosevic was in the team.

2-0 game over...

Just watched Benalouane incident again. Yep, agreed with the ref on this one, there was no covering player(s) and he did catch him, so, yeah, red card.

Question now comes to do we stick or twist?

posted on 19/4/19

Twist

Strange team selections

Not playing our best players or out of position

Not motivating the players

Hoofball

That’s probably the most divisive question Forest have had in a long time.

I have been surprised how many on social media want him sacked. Although I do struggle to get my head round the team selection in recent weeks.

The sending off was the turning point in the game, and he wasn't the last covering defender anyway.....That's what happens when you play with a "huge Sheffield United fan" refereeing the game.

Championship season summed up in one afternoon, absolutely crazy. Dirties beaten by 10 man Wigan, they had won 20 out of 20 when taking the lead before today, we capitulate, as expected, and Judas scores the winner for Boro. What an opportunity missed this season. Please Martin do the decent thing and resign.

Who would we go for though there isn't really anyone out there. We forced the one person out who looked like they were starting to turn us into a good team.

If MON went I would be tempted to see if he would come back. I mean he has the best chance of quickly changing things at it his still his team.

Jocanovic or as you say AK, but tbh his football was pretty attritional at times, but nowhere near as bad as MON’s. Is it wise to think MON is going to change over the Summer, I very much doubt it, and we need to spend 20-25 million, and get rid a hell of a lot f dead wood. Unfortunately I doubt we will see Colback in the Garibaldi again, excellent player but his discipline record is atrocious, but playing him at left back? Very strange.
MON has been talking about experimenting, well imo he is one experiment that has failed.

Chins up lads. We need you to get three points on Monday. Keep your MON OUT banners in cold storage for a while longer.

Gloucester services are ever so nice and modern by the way.

Nigel Clough has to be your next manager. It’s written in the stars. There can’t be many more sentimental ‘legends’ left to appoint. What an absolute circus you have there.

The fat Greek surely to be found guilty of his numerous allegations too.

Ps where’s Strett these days? It’s almost pay day

Why is it when the sheep are doing badly, we don’t here a thing from their so called supporters, but as soon as they hit a bit of form, which again is too late as usual, we can’t get them off our boards. Just like us in that they can’t handle the pressure. The only comment I agree with is, ‘what a circus we have’. Can’t argue with that.

How many people actually still want O'Neill at this point?

Can’t say I know any fans that want to see him in charge next season and to be fair, I’m renewing my ST wholly because I’m banking on O'Neill not being here next season. Fair play if people do, opinions and all.

I’d argue though that his appointment might actually be the worst choice out of all the potential candidates after Karanka. Performances have realistically been as poor as they could be but on top of that the fan base has polarised when a legend of MONs status struggles. Social media can be toxic at the best of times but it doesn’t do the #DinoOut brigade justice.

At least we could cut loose other managers and accept it didn’t work.

No Baz, we’ll appoint another foreign manager before going back to a legend, that’s the order of things.

MON was never one of the Forest Super Star's of either the League winning team or the European Cup.

He had his moments I will grant, but always looked slightly clumsey while on the ball; with the ball at his feet he was always looking down at it and couldn't look up to pick a pass out.

He was often isolated out on the right wing and wanted to drift into the middle of the field to try and get into the game; this always earned him a bollocking from the gaffer who wanted him out on the right hand touch line.

Forest had so many left footed players in the team and the club had a very wide pitch back then, unlike now.

He lost his place when Clough & Taylor bought Trevor Francis to the club.

He got his place back when Francis suffered his achillies injury. Perhaps it's unfair but I always remember that he left the club under a cloud after failing to take a shot against Clemence in [I think] a FA Cup game. I could add more about that, but it's a long time ago now.

Unfortunately I think he will be leaving under a cloud again.

Four defeats in a row really ramps up the pressure. More so because it has sabotaged what was an outside chance of a play off shot. I’m less sold on MoN then I was a month ago, I’ll admit, but still would like to see what he can do with a full fit squad (particularly defenders) before passing a proper judgement. The loan players that came in last Jan have all hit the wall simultaneously and the only real leader in the squad in Dawson has been out for the entire period of MoN’s reign. Grabban has reverted back to being a bit feint hearted leaving the attack without a focal point. Without any real competition, MoN has had no real alternative but to stick with him.

Lolley has felt the pressure of expectation and his performances have suffered as a result. I think there’ll still be a big bidding war for him in the summer. Villa will be emboldened by a large war chest if they manage to win the play offs. I’m pinning all my hopes on Brizzle or Boro! 😆

Lolley and cash are good players but they’re forever receiving from deep and expected to take on 2-3 players on their own, receive long balls, or get the ball when already under pressure. No one at championship level skin 2-3 players regularly, and it’s poor that the team expects them to. They aren’t Antonio’s and need players to move with them as much as they move themselves, or get better quality of balls.

We might as well stick ansarifard, Murphy, and wague up front because we aren’t playing to their strength (not that we should). Colback was one of the few players able to play in a ball but he’s been relegated to left back and gueddy and Carv are lucky to be on the bench.
