We just don’t do semi finals. Getting boring now
But.....the way this CL campaign has gone, I can’t write us off just yet, could be another twist!

All Ajax domestic matches before Spurs clashes have been postponed. Perhaps the PL needs to do the same to help teams in Europe.

Losing another semi final. How many is that in the last ten years or so?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I know we’ve lost our last 8 FA cup semis, and lost our last league cup semi this season, but we won the league cup semi in 2015, against Sheffield Utd. We aren’t too bad in 2 leg semis

Ouclassed..mmm..ok.. They played well 1st 30 mins but second half they didn't really do much once we got amongst them. A bit o.t.t to say we were outclassed. Barcelona tearing us a new one at Wembley was being outclassed.
Our best 11 would have easily won that game imo. Really had no striker upfront with a geriatric in Llorente and Moura who is not a natural striker. Injuries have truly faacked off us this season.
Best opportunity to reach a CL final and will always be a huge regret if we fail to take it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They could easily have had another couple of goals second half, they took their foot of the gas. They are a better side as it stands, no two ways about that. With their best team out on the pitch, they may have given Ajax a game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good side but they didn't take their foot off the gas. Even their player said our change of formation was the problem for them. All to play for still.. We can easily score at their place.

It wouldn`t have made the slightest difference to Spurs when you have players like Trippier and Llorente in the side, and Dele so woefully out of form.

Beat Burnley in a semi-final as well. But in general Spurs in FA Cup semi-finals have been atrocious for nearly 30 years now.

We weren't outclassed. During the first half we didn't have the spirit, the Dare Is To Do mentality. We gifted them the goal. We gifted them the first 30-35 minutes. Paid them too much respect. We were hesitant on the ball. We kept passing back to Lloris. We didn't play the ball on the ground.

2nd half we came alive, yet too little too late. However we proved we are more than capable. 2nd half we believed but it was too late.

All the media hype of "Spurs most important game in our history" (which is bs) went to our heads.

Rose and Sissiko were immense. They played their hearts out. Fair play Ajax are a good side but we weren't outclassed. We were foolish.

We can also easily let in a few. I never quite get why supporters think it is going to be easier in Amsterdam than it should have been tonight. It won`t be. If we had a full strength team I may think Spurs had a bit of a chance, but we won`t have, the odds heavily favour Ajax now.

The writing was always on the wall. Having lost to West Ham in appalling fashion gave us a taste of loss at our new Home. If we hadn't lost that game the spirit of new Home would have been different. We sowed bad seeds over the weekend.

Look, I like Poch's passion but I don't like his style of play. Our known for style has always been fast FORWARD flowing. What the **** was all that back passing this evening?? And we wonder why we lost? Must have counted about 15 back passes to Hugo Lloris.

Listen. We were lucky to win against Man City. We should have played tonight like we had nothing to lose (the irony, huh?)

We messed up. Big style. Yet having seen a few of our other games this season it was just the same.

Football is no longer the same. It's too technical. VAR. Managers/Coaches with their iPads. Harry Kane's mate txting on his mobile phone or some ****.

Gone are the days of our notorious beautiful game.

You know who did good tonight? The referee!
And again, huge respect for the players that played with passion. Rose. Sisikko. Couple of others. But the rest? This new generation is a lost cause.

No one says its going to be easier just that we have a chance just like we had at Dortmund . Tie still open. Good side but they are not an amalgamation of Barcelona and Madrid. Also Winks a huge loss.

We went to Dortmund with a 3-0 lead, it was hard not to go through in that tie. We are going to Amsterdam 1-0 down.

Losing the first leg at home, the tie is not really open.

You can count on one hand the number of teams that lost the first leg at home and still went through in the history of the cl.

United did it just a few weeks ago

Push and run. Simples. The problem with today's game is we think too much. The team needs to play their heart out. Job done. We can win.

It's what this game is all about. Even penalties. Remember 1984 UEFA Cup Win? What about the FA Cup 1982?

The younger lot need to learn up about how the game of football originated and stop buying in to all this technical nonsense. It's a social engineering stage. Like showing a supposed random fan member in slow motion draw a square symbol in the air representing VAR. Open your eyes! What happened to being arrested in the ground for calling out Y!ds? Wake up!
