With respect Boris, the players should hold themselves to a higher standard. Just my personal opinion.
It's one of a few anti lIverpool songs, none of which are offensive imo and it's been on loads of Youtube clips.
If I thought for one minute it was aimed at the fan who got battered outside Anfield, I wouldn't condone it in any way.

Its not about being offended. Players of a professional football club cant be justifying battering people in the streets

Or advocating another player getting injured.
Like it wouldnt be acceptable for liverpool players to reference munich in a song. For example
I grew up when players like Chopper Harris were feted for their 'industrial approach'.
I also read Roy Keane's comments about how he had no regrets about ending another players career with a deliberate assault.
Singing about Mo getting a tap on the shoulder from Ramos isn't really something that would trouble my conscience.

I have to agree. Incredibly poor judgement on the part of those involved.
I should add that if the press have tried to link this to the assault on Sean Cox? Then shame on them as well.
It's a football chant, not a contender for a Novello Award.
I don't know if any Liverpool fans were actually battered in the streets or were crying in the stands for that matter.
The Mirror has swung it round to Sean Cox (absolute bollox) and are allowing comments from Liverpool fans advocating an even more violent attack on our team bus when we visit Anfield next season.

So racist football chants are ok? It doesnt matter if no one was battered. You cant have pros condoning that
I wouldnt say there was an intent by City players but its really poor judgement
Sorry, what's racist about the song?
Is it homophobic as well.

Sh*t all round really.

I think it was a rhetorical question Boris.
To come out with a song like that in a moment of triumph is pretty sad. Makes you wonder what they would’ve sung had we beaten you to the league title.
Surely when you’ve just won the league other teams/players would be the furthest thing from your mind.

Completely agree with all of that.
I imagine a fair few of the players aren’t happy about it either tbh, it looks to me like it was the back room staff then Muric and a couple of others joining it at the “Allez” bit. I also imagine whoever posted the video might be in a bit of trouble too...
Hopfully they won't sing this when we win the Cup.
Gerrard slipped
Suarez cried
The Scousers dream had feking died
City win 5 in a row
We're all singing Edin Dzeko
Edin Dzeko Edin Dzeko
We're all singing Edin Dzeko
I imagine it will be contrued as racist, zingoistic, anti Serbian, anti protestant, anti fekin everything.

I know what you mean, but it’s not an isolated thing, United did similar when they won the europa. A group of young men high on euphoria (and booze!) tend to be stupid and not the most thoughtful.

Has there not been enough praise heaped on City over the last couple of seasons?
You really are insecure
Maybe they should have sung the 'Jihadi John' song instead.
