To come out with a song like that in a moment of triumph is pretty sad. Makes you wonder what they would’ve sung had we beaten you to the league title.
Surely when you’ve just won the league other teams/players would be the furthest thing from your mind.
-----------------------------------------------------
Not when you've had a Liverpool Love-In from the media for the previous 9 months.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City are rightfully recognized by all in media as possibly best prem side ever. Also most pundits called out sterling as poty.

Hopfully they won't sing this when we win the Cup.
Gerrard slipped
Suarez cried
The Scousers dream had feking died
City win 5 in a row
We're all singing Edin Dzeko
Edin Dzeko Edin Dzeko
We're all singing Edin Dzeko
I imagine it will be contrued as racist, zingoistic, anti Serbian, anti protestant, anti fekin everything.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ye theres no mention of violence or injury in that. Thats banter

On the one hand you’re fine with Roy Keane’s comments about trying to end the career of one of your players. On the other you’re upset we’ve received praise in the media for an excellent and unprecedented season.
You’re a strange lad
We sing "City, tearing Cockneys apart, again" when we're beating a London club.
I don't think it's insnuating that were physically dismembering the opposing players.

We wete talking at work yesterday about how long it would take for this to happen.
City spokesman claims they have been singing this song all season. Theres obsession but this is cringeworthy obsession about us. Very much doubt United players would be singing about us in the past or vice versa.
He meant the fans have been signing that song all season.
United players have been filmed doing the same about us in the past.

The op is actually incorrect too. Some of you need to take a step back and engage your brains instead of feeding on whatever’s been whipped up on Twitter in the last few hours. The fans have literally been singing this all season and noones said a word.

We know.
This is about the players singing it.
So why are you bothered then it’s just a fecking chant and the main part is actually Sterling winning the double. Which he just has.
The outrage displayed here on some tenuous link within a song is laughable. Completely disproportionate compared to a Liverpool JA member quoting an obscure “rap battle” lyric that trivialises child abuse, which went unchallenged by the same JA Liverpool fans that are so vocal right now.

So what if the fans have been singing it. You’d expect it from a few idiots in amongst a crowd of thousands. You’d expect better from professional players who have just won the league.
Don’t see how ‘the fans have been singing it all season’ somehow legitimises it.

Point is, its irrelevant how long the fans have been singing a song, the players shouldn't be singing songs about fans being attacked in the street, or fellow pros being injured.
