I wasn't against Parker but I wasn't for him either. In the 2 games he's played though, he's been absolutely quality. I love Sandro and I know he's young but if it were a choice between the two, right now I'd chose Parker.

The guy not only plays with passion, commitment and bravery, he can actually play football. Brilliant addition!

Elvis, I thought he was good in a rubbish team mate. Didnt think he had it in him to play for us.

I could never understand why so many on here were so anti this signing. Parker brings to our side everything we have been lacking for years - a guy who is willing to get stuck in when the going gets tough and also someone who can play a bit.

His performance at Wolves was outstanding and he was equally oiutstanding on Sunday.

I don't know about that. I know Sandro is a hero on this site and for sure he's done very well for us, but the reality is that he still has a lot of work to do before he can be considered a first team regular week in and week out.

Whereas since Harry joined the club, he has pretty much picked Tommy everytime he is fit.

Age. Possible wage costs for his Spurs lifetime.

I don't think he will oust Sandro, but he offers a variation on the theme. I don't think they'll ever need to play together, save for the usual injury plague Spurs get. There will be plenty of opportunities for them both to get sufficient game time.

And the one thing I have said is I respect his honesty about going to Spurs re his Euro 2012 aspirations. I have no problem with him achieving that if the by-product is him helping us get top 4 again.

absolutely spurcat, lacking it for years. Every team needs a 'tinker' in the centre is a saying we have here. Not necessarily a dirty player but one who will break up the play and put his body on the line if need be

Hudd offers that "quarterback" style passing. Especially out to the wings (for hopefully fit / on form Bale / Lennon) .

He also will score more goals than Sandro.

Yeah but its often easy to pass Thudd by, his passing is amazing at times tho. My god its great having so many options right now.

Tommy has been struggling with form and injuries for some time now and if i was him i would really worry about getting my place back.

I'm fine cheers. Managed to get down to watch Nathan Byrne for Bournemouth recently (the Stevenage game). Thought he looked good altho' on the night B'mouth were average. You seen him this season ??

think Adam Smith looks a better player to me. though, he to will struggle to reach the top.

pleased with some of our kids this season. Livermore seems to have grown as a player. Townsend and Tom Caroll look to have real potential. would like to see Kane partner someone other than Pav, cos he don't do any forward favours!!

Fair comments lillywhite. Must say I saw Byrne pre-season at Barnet and he was all over the place, but on the night I saw him for B'mouth, he did look good.

Agree with you on our kids. I must confess to have almost written Livermore off, and whilst I still think he will fall short of making it at Spurs, I do applaud him for the way he has come in and stepped up.

i cldnt agree more,i was non plussed either way if we got him or not.

but i have to say,the difference he has made is MASSIVE he keeps the ball,does it simple when he should,can play it around and play the killer ball if it's on,and is box to box.

sandro i can see playing along side him in the more tricky away games.

thud may struggle to get back in...

i still want to know how thudd lost so much weight over the summer.

when he came on at the start of the season you could almost mistake him for crouchie.

well if he has lost weight,lets hope it helps him get about the pitch better..

Spurcat, I hold my hands up as one who doubted, but my reasons were simply:

1. Every time I saw him play last season I saw a lot of stray passing and a lot of falling over

2. He was an integral part of a side that got relegated

3. He's 30

Fact is though, he's looked like a piece of the jigsaw and we've looked more complete than I can ever remember, but that's only two games so far.
Having said all that I think Parker and Ade are IMO fantastic 'upgrades' on Crouch and Palacious rather than the 'Marquee signing' new dynamic that we were all begging for. I for one am gagging for this season to play out! I think we've got the best chance with this squad than any in recent times

I had my doubts about Parker too but they were mainly based on his age and his previous injuries. Like the Diarra rumours I could see him stunting Sandro's development.

Well his age hasn't changed obviously so I still wonder how long term his Spurs career is going to be and at the moment he's fit. I also recall the false dawn that was Wilson Palacios so will reserve judgement on Parker just yet.

Equally, Sandro has become an instant favourite but he needs to establish himself fully. If he doesn't get so many games I can see him wanting away - especially if his felllow Brazilian Gomes goes in January.

Don't agree that Sandro has become an instant favourite as I recall some of the 'wise men' on BBC 606 had written him off after his debut and after the Charlton FAC game, there were no more than 2 or 3 of us sticking up for the lad. Fact is, he was one that many had written off without giving him a fair chance.

i called it on the old 606 after the CC game vs the other lot that there was promise there.

I've watched Parker from his early days at Charlton right through to Chelsea, Newcastle and Wham. Each time he moved there were strong rumors that we were in for him but it never worked out ( wages..apparently).Has always perfromed very well at all clubs except Chelsea where he was never given a chance. Hopefully he takes his chance now.

Well fair play to you then junction8, but I know full well, there were loads screaming he wouldn't make it at Spurs in his early days at the club.
