You also have to consider there are two monsters in the mix in Liverpool and man city.

Even with say 6 signings, I just don't know how you close the gap on them tbh

We do stupid stuff like beat city away then lose to Burnley or lose back to back v wolves and Southampton at home.

Top 2 would never do that and that’s the difference.

Fours years left on his contracr. Will be too expensive for me. Weird he signed for so long.

People say we should get him for his set pieces but he’ll be a bench player for us so how much would we get to use the set pieces.

For the price it’ll cost for me it’s just not worth it.

I'm surprised some fans want him. Surely we have to think bigger in terms of the names we want to sign?

I always used to think JWP was overrated but last season he has clearly improved enough to make him a good addition for most sides. The fact our set piece quality from free kicks is so bad makes him all the more appealing. Definitely better than Winks but with the amount he'd cost you'd have to play him regularly and how are we going to give all these guys time, with Skipp as well?

Hopefully Perisic can take a good free kick or if we re sign Eriksen we can address corners and free kicks.

Hopefully with Inter and Brenford he can beat the first man now lol

I may be completely wrong here, but aside from a free kick against Swansea I think... I can't remember Eriksen being overly awesome at scoring from them

Scored that beauty v sheff utd in semi final. Scored a few others too.

We saw against us he can take a great corner but while playing for us we used the hardest one. The front post for Toby/Dier to run and get their head on it.

Literally the hardest corner to get right due to have the smallest area to hit while having the most defenders around it.

JWP would probs be too expensive. I think his all-round game is pretty meh, but with the 5 sun rule that set pieces ability is a must have.

Basically in every Brentford/Burnley etc style game where we can’t break down the opposition you just sub him on for Hojbjerg and the crosses, set pieces and free kicks become instantly better

He used to be really good at set pieces for us, but they deteriorated towards the end.

Didn't he score 2 free kicks in 1 game the one time?
