I'd prefer someone who's more of the finished article if we're only bringing one rwb in yeah

Spence's HG status and fee, aside from his potential makes him more attractive. We could always sell and upgrade Emerson for a better and more finished article.

It fors actually make sense tbf but I dunno if it's a negative, but more a different style of play.

Like when you think back to Rose and Walker.

I'd say Walker was more like what that tweet describes whereas Rose was more slalomy because he'd to a lot of fake clearances and step in, not really relying on pace as much as Walker

But I just feel its not an issue tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree it's not intrinsically a negative but like I said I was hoping to have another option

All of our wingbacks are currently good in the final third but can't dribble their man. Perisic is more of the same just even better
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thing is, they're not. The only real criticism of Reguilon is that he can't finish. Royal is crap beyond the halfway line.

Whether they run with a more upright fashion or not is redundant

I think we'd all like better signings. As much as I take the pizz about Perisic being old, Cuadrado would be ideal. But we've got Doherty who's fine for now in this system, signing a RWB Sess make a lot of Sensse

I think you're focusing too much on the "upright" observation. My actual concern is that none of our fullbacks can dribble their man.

I'd say Reguilón is much worse in his own half then in the opposition's half. He's a mess in build up play because he's so erratic but is brilliant at getting in behind and putting a good ball in

Royal is not even in my thinking but yes he's the exception if you want to include him

Did someone ask earlier for the preseason dates?

13 July - K League Best Team v Spurs (in South Korea)

16 July - Seville v Spurs (in South Korea)

23 July - Rangers v Spurs

30 July - Roma v Spurs ( Israel)

6 August - Prem season starts

Chris

I think we're actually on the same page really. Though I'd disagree Reguilon is better in the oppo half. He's a great full back who has to occasionally cross. Anything else he looks confused. He's admitted himself, he needs to adapt to the LWB role.

Anyway. Yeah. We need wing backs that are more wingers than defenders really. I'm slightly worried that we'll end up with Traore but it would be funny. Plus you'd have to back Conte to make him perform there

That seems light for preseason. Especially considering we get a big winter break for the World Cup.

With today being 30 May, #thfc can officially announce the signing of Fraser Forster who would then commence his Spurs contract on 1 July 2022.

No home games this pre season but Lady Gaga and Guns n Roses are having 4 concerts in July.

We will probably play a couple of closed door friendlies as well I suspect.

#thfc Perisic stayed overnight at Spurs and is expected to complete a medical & sign a two-year deal today. As it stands, Bastoni reluctant to leave Inter. Deal not dead in the water but Spurs will have to convince him. @standardsport

French journalist Daniel Riolo: “Hakimi is going crazy, the South Americans don’t talk to him anymore. He already wants to leave Paris (PSG), he is fed up. In this team, his qualities have never exploded, so maybe you have to give him up.”

Chuck them Ndombele to bring the fee down. Mpabbe gets another mate to replace Hakimi. Everyone's a winner.
