Lloris 8
Romero 5
Dier 5
Davies 5
Emerson 5
Højbjerg 4
Bentancur 5
Perisic 6
Richarlison 6
Kane 2
Son 2
Thats fair enough, our CB's have been poor this season
Romero doesn’t look fit and the rest look shattered. Im starting to think this harsh pre season everyone loved seeing is causing us problems now

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pushing them too hard with fitness work. It might end up paying off long term but right now I just think they look tired and when your tired you touch isn’t as good as it should be.
I’d be surprised if they were tired after a week off this early in the season though?
Also I don’t know what the best way is to schedule peak fitness performance with such an obscure break coming up
We don’t know what he’s doing to them training wise though.
Something just doesn’t look right. This team was flying end of last season.
I think that’s because we didn’t have a tonne of games and we were playing a few teams who weren’t at 100%.
I think this point of the season a lot of teams are rusty and struggle to really click until November/December

I think and hope this is Conte's strategy for the season. We are still only 8 games into the season.
I think the West Ham game away was our worst performance so far and after he brought in Romero, Lenglet, Sess and Rico into the side against Fulham and our performance level increased no end.
You have to expect the same sort of thing this weekend.
He is clearly trying to stick with the same nucleus of players from last season and letting the new boys fight for their place. I think it is a sensible strategy considering the amount of incomings we have had this summer.
I guess it's all about easing the new players in and making last seasons players fight for their place.
Bassey seems to be having a decent game tonight.

I’m a Emerson fan and think he’s done well bar tonight, but his lack of rotation has been baffling
I think Emerson is alright. In the same way Dier and Davies are alright.
Agreed. Emerson has been over used. Maybe Conte is trying to break him ? lol
You could say the same about Son too. Sooner or later he has to change it up but from Conte's POV, he is probably thinking we were unbeaten and not even in 2nd or 3rd gear. Time to send a message on Saturday hopefully.
NEW: #thfc could make £26M from Marcus Edwards as they have a 50 per cent sell-on clause on him.
The forward has a £52M release clause with Sporting CP. | @TelegraphSport
Depends what you want from a wing back I suppose. I don't know what his numbers are like, but what I see with my eyes is a wing back who hesitates and then takes the safe option every time. It might mean his pass accuracy is high or whatever, but I find it so frustrating when he constantly slows up the momentum of an attack because he won't take on his man, won't consider a give and go, just slows, stops and passes inside or backwards instead.
Not what I personally like in a RWB but it seems maybe Conte does. To be fair I think he's always preferred to operate with lopsided wing backs hasn't he? One more attacking one more defensive? Or have I made that up. To be fair I would imagine Emerson has pretty good defensive stats. Interceptions, clearing headers etc.

He is a very good defender, he is pretty solid on the ball and doesnt lose it, but in the final third he isn't particularly effective.
However this season he has improved in that regard which is why it doesnt concern me as much. Last season he was say a 9 in defence, 7 in buildup and 4 final third. This season he has gone up to a 9 in defence, 7 in buildup and 6 in the final third.

Depends what you read. I read his previous team only sold their share which was 50% and Spurs retained their share. We didn't make anything on his transfer to Sporting...
its weird cause generally emerson has looked a good defender and has been reliable in that regard especially against the so called better sides
however moments like that 2nd goal yesterday his defending has looked atrocious
He's just not a grate footballer.

lol no one is buying him for that price
apart from his amazing run and unlucky not to have a wonder goal dont actually think he was as great as made out to be yesterday either
they had a lot more who stood out to me
Yeah so much hype. The BT commentators had him playing for England after that one dribble.
Though if he really does start to dominate that league it's good to know we could effectively buy him back for 26m
