Well we only paid £3M for Ashley so it kinda balances out!

With VDV and Ashley Phillips, if we were to keep Kane now I reckon it would be a pretty good window and we'd actually be in danger of having a good season.

And Harry doesn’t want to agitate and annoy the fans.

For the record I'll be pleased if we are deciding to keep Kane from this point, regardless of what Bayern are doing. We seem to have now set things up to have a decent season with the 2 new CBs we are adding. Could do with another forward perhaps and shifting certain players but overall we'll have addressed the main areas, so selling Kane before the end feels kind of kamikaze. He may go next summer for free but I'm interested to see how we can do with him on board with the off chance he might be persuaded to stay. If he goes next summer, I don't believe he's going to go to a rival anyway so it's just the matter of losing up to £100m for him. I can live with that.

I don't know if Kane goes now. Levy does realise the importance of Kane and that may well override getting a substantial amount of money for him compared to nothing next summer. I think Levy still believes Kane can help fire us to a top 4 position and that he can be made to sign another contract.

Who knows though, anything can happen. We don't even know what Ange really wants.

Levy off on holiday in Miami for two weeks, so business for the window all done now ?
