I don't get this part. Seems like there's no value in Raya by the end of the season. Surely they just pay the 3m then offer him a contract without paying Brentford another penny.. What am I missing?

Raya has signed a contract extension until 2024 so after the loan, Woolwich can pay £27m or he is still contracted to Brentford.

Same situation as this summer. It's a great deal tbf.

From some teams yeah. I do think in this instance Brentford always intended to sell Raya we just called their bluff and they are a little desperate.
