Annoyed we have seemingly ignored Orban in favour of Brennan Johnson. Would he even be any cheaper?
If this is what Ange wants then so be it, but I'm not overly convinced.
Really fancied Orban, just have a gut feeling he was made for the prem and would do really well.

I mean in the club's defence, Brennan is only 1 year older and scored 1 fewer goals in the PL last season (for 16th place Forest) than Orban did in Belgium (for 5th place Gent).
Now, Orban did do that in about as third as many games, which is obviously very impressive, but also is just a further reminder of how inexperienced Orban is. He was still in Nigeria until May 2022.
Personally I would rather us buy orban because I think there is more upside there and his goal scoring record is incredibly impressive, but I understand the club going with the safer and homegrown option.
It's the unknown factor with Orban that makes him exciting to me. Yes he's not PL proven but given his strike rate is so good, it's the feeling he could go on to be a really special player, like you never know, he could be another Haaland. With Brennan Johnson there is not a feeling that his ceiling will ever be that high even if he's PL ready.
that's all said within the context of it being Brennan or Orban, implying that Brennan would play upfront. .
If we're signing Brennan to play as a winger then I am very against it, I don't think he is at all good enough technically for that role.

Hopefully Forest will price him out of a move. I can see us going for him and even if we do I reckon Chelsea will try to outbid us.

Going by what AG said, the club think Orban can go on to be really good so it seems strange to me we're not deciding to pursue it. We have faith in him but obviously not enough faith.
Surely £30m isn't much if you believe a player is going to go on to be a star?

Feels weird if we were to buy him. We brought Kulu and Bentancur to help Juve buy Vlahovic.

🚨BREAKING | Tottenham Hotspur have submitted a bid in excess of €45M for Pepê, including an additional €15M in goal bonuses, but face rejection from FC Porto, who are demanding a €70M fee.
🧮Pepê played in seven different positions last season, primarily prefering to play as a left-winger but Porto manager Sergio Conceica deployed him in multiple positions.
🧩He has played as a left-winger, right-winger, second striker, right-midfielder, left-midfielder, right-back and also an attacking midfielder.
🇵🇹Despite the constant change in position, he has been one of the consistent names on the starting line-up of the Portuguese club.
🎯However, he has bagged 5 goals and 9 assists after playing 45 games in all competitions this season.
🇧🇷The Brazilian still has four more years left in his current deal at the Portuguese club, till June 2027, along with a release clause of €75M (£66M).

Why do we keep targeting attacking players with mediocre strike rates, after we've just sold one of the world's best strikers?

Think the club prefer the £20m mark for future stars. See Sarr, Udogie and Veliz.

We have to be prepared to be flexible though. Not sure you can put a fixed price on unknown potential, it's about how much you believe in the player to go on to be great.
It’s a shame as I thought we started with window pretty damn well.
Probably be a bit of last minute activity, but nothing too exciting.
No more will be coming in of note. I’m certain of it. All of this is just click bait. We spent the Kane money

Yeah it was another great start like last summer, then fizzled out along with the madness of the Kane sale
I'm still happy with how it went, like all of our signings. lack of outgoings is the main disappointment for me
If we don't see a striker come in, do we think we will keep Dane in the squad and perhaps see him get some minutes?
Would love to see another Soldado/Kane situation where Dane comes in and removes Richarlison.
Lightening doesn't strike twice though I guess
I think Levy knows we need a fairly big name to replace Kane or the fans won't be happy.
Things will go down to the last day of the window as per usual with Levy, this is when opportunities present themselves, which is music to Levy`s ears with him being an opportunistic and bargain loving clown and all.
