Werner is a weird one. I can see him doing pretty well as an AngeBall #9 except for the crap finishing.

As a winger it seems completely pointless cos what the system is crying out for is a proper touchline winger with a bit of finesse, not another inside forward whose feet are 10x quicker than his brain

it makes sense in the very short term sense of we just need someone to replace son for the next month

I think we could have done better than that and gotten a long term contributor though given our recent January track record is all

and the extra goal was against pl opposition so hardly stat padding

Timo another one of those 1 goal in 3 game types but you never know he might go on a good run while with us. It's hard to find players who guarantee you a lot of goals consistently each season.

This is the thing though

I'm not overly sad about Kane leaving

He wanted to go and would've left on a free in the summer anyways so it was probably best for all that it happened last summer

I'm just not keen on Richarlison. He's really not that good and no amount of recent goal flurries are going to mask that he's completely average

Richy is a decent squad option but due to the strength of our squad, he's more of a regular starter than he should be.

We do need better than him but I don't know where a top quality one comes from. I guess we have to keep searching until we unearth someone who can most closely resemble Kane.
