Yeah I've looked at a few games and he's starting quite a few of them so I've no reason to doubt your stat.
Looks like he wasn't 1st choice but filled in various places when someone was out.
Surprised at that. I think a midfield role probably suited him better personally. He's a sitting duck at centre back, but Toby was so good he probably covered him a lot of the time. Anyway, can't knock that stat which is impressive.
14/15 ok given he was out of position in a team in transition
15/16 excellent, seen as one of the best DMs in the country, started for England at the euros
so I make that 4 good seasons, 1-2 average ones and 4-4 poor ones
so as many good seasons as bad, feels about right.
16/17 excellent versatile regular starter for an 86 point side
17/18 32 starts for a CL side, remember it definitely being a step down for him than the previous season but still a good player
18/19 injury riddled campaign, and performances noticeably dipped in midfield as the Poch era began to sputter to a conclusion
19/20 permanently moved to CB under Jose, struggled in a poor side with Alderweireld and Davinson preferred
20/21 from memory I think he was our best CB this season as Alderweireld was truly past it at that point and Sanchez's confidence was shot to bits under Jose, don't think he was particularly good though and the team was awful again
21/22 very good season, 35 starts, got back into the England squad as we made the CL
22/23 disastrous season really, mistake after mistake as the wheels fell off and Conte tried to get himself sacked.

15/16 & 16/17 was he’s only consistently good seasons.
Absolutely shiet since bar the odd couple of games on the trott.

That's it for me. What's really a shame is he got worse over time if anything. And he should have been at his peak these last few years in a low block but he's just not very good at defending. I thought Conte would get rid but he seemed to have a weird boner for him. Must be a triffic lad in training etc

Yeah I've looked at a few games and he's starting quite a few of them so I've no reason to doubt your stat.

The I love Eric Dier song is one of the worst songs ever created in football.
I still remember him giving a needless penalty on Timo Werner against Chelsea at the Lane. That's was at the height of him being rubbish.
