Seen links for Olise to Utd and Chelsea(Olise follows Utd on social media).

Doesn't look like we are considering him even though he is better fit than Eze imo.

QPR have a 20% sell clause for Eze so can see why Palace will push for £60m minimum. Tricky one.

Manchester United believe there could be more clubs keen on signing Jadon Sancho, not only Borussia Dortmund.

Options expected to appear from other countries, Man United will explore it all before deciding for best one.

Sancho remains available for £40m initial price tag.

Not sure. He doesn't fit the age range and will have little resale value. Not sure if he is a good fit for the system either?

68m for Eze is too much IMO. Rather buy a striker and DM

I’d pay that for him. I actually think he’s a better AM than Maddison is.

I mean when was the last time we sold anyone for more than we bought them for?

( Kane don’t count )

But the intention is buy someone who is in their early 20's so we can recoup at least something close to what we paid for them. Drag, Bents and Kulu for example.

BJ we paid a premium for but needed his HG status and we were desperate.

After two years the fee we recieved might have been recorded as a profit on the old balance sheet after amortalisation.

Iteams towards the top don't make money on player sales unless they're losing a star player. Usually a player being sold is surplus or not good enough or.under performed. We could have sold loads of players over the years and made big.money but kept them .

The point of buying young and not at peak is to get better value, add value and potentially have some sort of resale value or keep them.long term when resale.is less important. Son is a classic example

The landscape of players sales has changed now 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Devon will be along in minute to add some more spiel to back this up.

You can tell him to bore off as well.

A lot of players we bought at the end of the Poch era and into the next few years seem to fail. We broke them. I think the atmosphere and the ambition of the club in style and achievement probably wasn't an environment where players wanted or were expected to excel.

Bergwijn I liked but he seemed to fade after a good start
The likes of GLC Ndomb and others never reached a peak level of performance, they cruised and have never really got in to top gear.

That's why I liked Anges rant the other week. Everyone has to push themselves to the limit and expect nothing less than success. No cruising.

Contes rant was very similar but a bit more personal, more of an attack and he had been in seat for 18 months so much of the players attitudes were on him. He had had plenty of time to affect squad mentality but seemed to blame everyone else.

I think that if we signed an Ndomb or GLC today, we would be far more likely to get the best out of them compare compared to the 2019/20 - 2023 period.
