I see him as a better version of Gallagher with more talent. Young, energetic, mobile, English, all the things Gallagher is but with more technique and end product. I would not be against this deal at all and would be delighted if we have moved away from the apparent fixation on Gallagher purely because his contract position made him cheaper.

Still need a more DM focussed player, IMO, but if GLC Hojbjerg and may be even Skipp are heading out then there is room for 2 new players in CM/DM roles

Last season we signed Maddison to address this very point, so we do need another?

I would say the greater need is LCB and LB cover followed by a winger who can press and not be so flakey when opposition defenders run by them.

A back up goal keeper as well.

We should be looking to sign a CF… to give competition to Richy…. Toney maybe… or someone better

Plus another wide forward, who can cover a few positions… Doue… Eze or David

We missed the boat in signing Lloyd Kelly… he’d have been perfect as cover for Udogie/ VDV…

We need to play Dragusin… as we defend free kicks & corners better, when he’s playing…

Need to get rid of Davies ffs… I’ve never like him as a player… a liability defensively & ridiculously slow!!

Sounds like Davies is being given the option to leave if he wants but won't be forced out. But yeah surely we sign someone else in his position

Ange is the anti-Southgate.

If we are conceding too many goals and this is costing us points, then the approach to address this is to score more and win more games....better 4-3 victory than a tight 1-0.

The 2nd half of our season dropped off because the goals dried up. Our defensive weakness then becomes a much bigger issue.

We look like we are addressing the problem by adding more attacking threat to the team, allowing us to better rest, rotate, replace and make impactful substitutions.

Its more a Klopp heavy metal approach of being so aggressive in attack that teams fear this and are less prepared to attack you, even if your defence is not your strongest point.

I am down with us buying more atttacking quality, but do want to see players that will add more energy and tempo, especially in the midfield.

Defensive purchases are less of a priority although better cover at RB LCB and LB will be needed if we are serious about a title push, but that isnt realistically this season

Correct me if I am wrong but Ange is used to winning titles and if he hasn't won a title in his first season he has done in his second, so I reckon in his mind he want a title or trophy this season.

Also the last two games of last season, he changed the formation. I think he will carry it on through to the new season as well. He has also changed the formation in the second season at other clubs as well.
