By the sounds of it Villa had to match any bids Hull received. And the player is signing a new 5 year contract so it could be possible for another club to sign him.

Leicester have been linked with Soule of Juve. Fabio signed him at Juve. Left footed and plays on the right. Lamela-esque.

He is a better fit than Neto, Eze and Doue( who is right footed).

We could probably buy Soule and Doue for the price of a Neto or Eze. Maybe another £5-£10m on top.

The Doue fee is not news , Doue , eze and Neto were all going to be in the 45-60 million range the club expected this

we have officially bid for eze and are in talks with clubs and agents on the other two
there are different problems on all 3 deals
eze palace want most the fee up front
Neto it’s huge money for injury prone player so to get there will require some of fee being appearance based plus one of our unwanted players going other way
Doue we are competing with massive clubs for him , you have to remember we spent 50 on Johnson we will go there if the player is open to joining.

I’d sell Johnson… if it meant bringing in 2 wide forwards, instead of one…

I just don’t see it with Johnson… he’s quick, but nowhere near Walker quick… no tricks either… very predictable…

Doue & Eze can play in a variety of positions… they’re raving about Doue in France… saying he’s phenomenal!

I’d also bring in competition for Richy, who I do really rate…(when fit) Spurs play much better when Richy plays…

The longer we leave it… the more chance we stand of losing out on players!

Saying you would sell Johnson is all very well but who is going to give us our money back?

Also it's way to early to write him off.

All very well saying we should get them in asap but most of the players we are in for are wanted by bigger fish.

We are not as big as maybe you think we are. Stay humble.

Doué looks decent but not sure he's what's needed. Looks more of a playmaker than an out and out winger, doesn't seem to have serious pace - and we know how that can neuter a wide player in the Prem, e.g. Kulusevski when he plays on the right and looks slow and predictable
