How much is this lad Clarke supposed to cost?

Would it mean the end for Edwards? Sessegnon?

About £20m

Edwards is finished with us anyway and I think poch wants Sessegnon to be a LB

Lads

I'm still on the Edwards wagon till proven otherwise, if this lad is worth 20m he can't be far off.

I hope we still get Sessegnon and a midfielder. Poch deserves it.

You’d think Sessegnon & Clarke is building for the future while Ndombele & Lo Celso are for the now ( although they are obviously young too ).

Keep Toby & eriksen while bringing those four then even Don will have to give levy a snog

Am I the only one yet to be convinced by Sessegnon?

He looked very average in a Fulham side that has few good players

In fact, Fulham's problems were leaking goals and Sessegnon is partly responsible for that?

Why folks here are willing to forgive him for his defensive frailties but then Trippier is known for his lapses in defense too?

Is Sessegnon a step up on Trippier? I don't think so!

Are we just trying to buy him just for the sake of it and to appease the baying mob?

Surely this shows lack of plan from the club?

I don’t get the Ndombele thing. If rumours are to be believed, you’ve got a player who we are odds on to sign, who has finished international duty, who Poch has earmarked as no1 priority, who has made overtures toward the club, and who can be bought for £63m which most would say is good value in today’s market, at a time when we’ve got 3 windows worth of budget plus all the various revenues accrued last season bursting our wallet.

If all that is the case, then we should be making an offer of £63m now to fend off rivals and getting him over for a medical and contract discussions.

The longer this goes on the more I feel we are not prepared to pay over £60m and are lowballing Lyon, who will happily hold out for one of Utd, Real or Juve - one of whom will undoubtedly look to Ndombele once the Pogba saga is resolved.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's exactly how I feel about NDombele transfer sage, since I heard about £63m being suggested.

Either he is not Poch's no 1 target contrary to what we were led to believe or there is more to this and we are not trying to jeopardise any deals that rely on this deal.
Maybe his club asked us to keep this under wraps while they negotiate something.

All speculaltions, but something is not right.

£63m for a player of good quality is a reasonable offering and even Levy would accept that.

So why no official mentions of this?

Ndombele is the player we need but is he really a target or is it only media bs.

Levy trying to pay the £63m in instalments?

posted on 18/6/19

The N'Dombele deal needs to be tied up asap before the Pogba saga starts.

If United lose him, or Real/Juve miss out, they're going to target the next best player, N'Dombele.

Get it done

There must be truth in it. There must have been contact too with his recent comments about us being a big club.

Too many sources reporting it for it not to be true.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

No.

Firstly it’s not a lack of plan as Spurs have been tracking Sessegnon for a while and tried to buy him before.

Secondly, Sessegnon looked awesome in Fulham’s promotion season scoring 17 goals and being the best player in the Championship at 17 years old.

Thirdly Fulham last season bought 15 new players and changed manager 3 times. It was inevitable they’d look sheite. Sessegnon didn’t have a chance in that circus. There was nobody there offering the first class coaching that a young lad like him needs to grow - like Poch would.

We obviously recognise his talent and believe we can develop him into a top class attacking full back. Not sure why he’s being compared to Trippier as he’s left sided, and undoubtedly (from a planning perspective) seen as a long term successor to Danny Rose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I didn't mean the long term plan.

I meant planning for the transfer market.

The only reason Sessegnon is being compared with Trippier is because they are full backs, with defensive duties and should be able to play as wing-backs.

Playing as a defender, I am yet to be convinced by Sessegnon. Of course, we all know Trippier is hapless in crosses and gets caught out too often.

His only goal past Lloris is still one of the best gaffes I have ever seen in the premier league.

Sessegnon looked in the promotion year -- yes.

But he was playing one level down, in the championships.

Once Fulham got promoted, Sessegnon faded against much better opposition.

Sorry, Sessegnon is not my
