Bit of a good news maybe?
Eriksen may actually be forced to stay at Spurs!
He's lost out to Hazard and possibly Pogba for his "dream" move to Real
Zidane prefers Pogba I believe and Eriksen doesn't want United, who would tbh?
Unless for money.

is that good news? he runs down his contract and leaves for nothing, and plays below par because he doesn't wanna be here....
if he doesn't sign a contract extention then i want him sold

Regardless, he is a quality player and right now, we are struggling to get any such player?
As much as we need too freshen up the squad, we also need to keep hold off our quality players and not just ship them off as soon as they under perform or struggle
Eriksen was instrumental for us in more matches than not. His performances waned last season but so did everyone else's too. Dele and Kane just to mention a few?
Should we sell Kane too?
eriksen was below par compared to previous seasons imo... presumably because he wants a new challenge... if that pattern continues and he starts to contribute less, and then we lose him for nothing, then we would have facked it all up.
in my view if hes not going to sign a deal, then sell now if we can, and reinvest properly.

It’s him who suggested he wanted to “try something new” remember?
I want him to stay of course, but only if he’s committed.
dele alli and Kane are not comparable cases because they are not running down a deal with one year remaining and risk going on a free... completely difference scenario

I was only comparing their performances
Eriksen staying could mean end of lo Celso deal
lo Cleso is good option but unproven so far...Another Soldado case maybe? or is Lamela, who came with hype and yet to deliver truely?
Who knows?
The only good deal I see is the NDombele deal and even the price is good, so come on Baldy put dosh on the table!

My main concern, and this is admittedly looking into the future a bit, is that the second that Poch no longer thinks that we are taking all reasonable steps to improve, he will be off.
He's put up with the lack of recent additions because of the mitigating factor of the stadium, and successfully still managed to deliver CL football, and the bonus of a CL final appearance.
Now, we can look to improve our team, and this is what we need to be doing. Liverpool have shown us the blueprint.
If we don't, then in 1-2 years time, Poch will be off to somewhere where he will be adequately backed, and we'll be at risk of being back in the Europa League.
Cl is a huge revenue stream Levy would be foolish to take it for granted.

I'll be honest, I can see him leave just after the transfer windows closes, if we don't get the players he has earmarked
There's absolutely no reason for him to stay at all if we fail to back him up with new players
As it is, Spurs under him has reached the maximum achievement possible - CL final and a top 4 finish
I don't want that to happen and the Baldy better be careful if he thinks he can win this battle
Deliver or Poch is off
Taken over a year to sign anyone and we're still faffing about.

Absolutely. We should be making a statement.
After not spending last summer or Jan and selling Dembele, then I kind of foolishly believed we might get off to this transfer window with a bang to make up for it.
You would think we would know who our targets are.
It's all gone very quiet . Reminds of the Jack Grealish situation.

Don't worry at the end some will say its hard to find players who would improve us
We've certainly tried so far but having £53m offer rejected for Lo Celso wasn't in the plans. Man City got Sane, Sterling, Bernando Silva for less and KDB for around that price.
Their £70m demand is clearly outrageous.

That has always been bull sheet.
Up to last season you'd hear people say they wouldn't get in over Son, Eriksen, Alli, or Kane. Last season just blew that argument apart.

News first arises this morning about Rodri and City's interest.
They've triggered his releases clause of £61m and looks like a done deal.
In less than half a day, City sign a midfielder...
