I think whatever position you're looking at for him - RB, CB, DM - he needs to work on his physicality. Pace for full back, strength for central positions, engine for all positions
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was a strange signing. He'd played just 7 professional matches (for Estudiantes) before joining Spurs.

I’m happy to keep one of Foyth and Sanchez and would rather Sanchez
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sell both and sign Skriniar
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Id get on board with this
There's about £15m in Foyth and at least £25m in Sanchez based on the fee we bought him for, prem defender and Colombian International
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who would be dumb enough to pay 25M for Sanchez?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thing is, I know genetics play a part, but bulk/strength should in theory be the easiest thing to train. I really never understand it when you get skinny young players who don't put on any muscle when they develop. The clubs must surely be able to get them in the gym, on a calorie surplus and adding some bulk. I can only assume some players just don't like it, but it seems so daft when players like Foyth are so clearly in need of a bit of the Adama treatment for the good of their game, and they just stay skinny instead
Not too fond of Skriniar any defender who struggles in a back 3 immediately screams alarm bells to me
I don’t think Foyth’s lack of size (I’m not even sure its true) is an issue at all. His weakness is in his defending and reading of the game - I’ve never seen him outmuscled like Sanchez has been.

I read that he was subbed on at h-t in the next game and did well, again at DM

Maybe I'm over-applying the general idea, because Foyth has always looked scrawny to me. He's got good balance, at the very least, even if I'm not convinced he's necessarily got the raw strength of most successful Prem CBs.
Then again Davinson Sanchez is a prime example of how having a good physique isn't a guarantee of having actual, practical physicality in-game. He's powder-puff

I’ve always thought he’s bad for overcommitting and not calming down - the Aurier issue.
Foyth, you mean? Yeah, he definitely likes to dive in early, gets turned easily if the opposition player sees the tackle incoming
Yeah Foyth has the same issue with Aurier.
