Absolute joke of a club. Charge highest prices in Europe and have zero ambition. Should of had three new faces in the cup semi and league game against Chelsea. my guess is because at the moment they're not sure of getting any other signings done, so they'll hold off and if no one else comes in, announce Traore on deadline day as a massive coup.

Lamptey was probably a leaked rumour by the club to push forward the Traore deal I’d imagine. I’d be highly surprised if the club was like ‘oh my they want over £40m for him, I’d have never guessed!’

Sounds likely. Or perhaps we are genuinely after him because we think he's better than Traore and rather than pay the full price we will offer a swap with Doherty?
