Please let this be true

I wouldn’t sell the joint golden boot winner to a direct rival. You’re in an unfortunate position but I would keep Aubs and look to scout a winger elsewhere

The only reason Arsenal finished as high as they did last season is because of the 2 lads up front and now you are going to sell the joint top scorer from last season to free up funds to buy Zaha?

Really?

Oh and you should put a 5 star option up for that would be an absolute reetard move!

Haha yes that could be an option but I didn’t want to be seen trying to get cheap 5 stars

Sell us Auba then we also get 25% of the Zaha fee. Go for it

Would be a mistake selling to United.

Lol yes, give Utd a 20+ PL goal striker, that will help you get top 4...

We've already got flat track bullies in the squad, we don't need another one on top of the fact he's turning 31 in a few days.

He's turned 30 I mean.

Can only speak for myself but I woudnt be too excited to buy Zaha no matter the circumstancies.

There's plenty of wingers we could say who may potentially be better than Zaha.

There's barely any striker we could sign who would be better than Auba

*could sign

So United end up with our main source of goals (yet again ), as well as 25% of whatever we might end up paying for Zaha?

Absolute madness.

So just to be clear here, you wouldn't sign either Zaha or Tierney - both of whom would've been prime- Wenger type signings?

Jeez, Geets, who exactly DO you think Arsenal could / should be targeting?! Because it seems even had we gained CL next season, the budget still wouldn't have big enough for the players you think we need to go.

So you have a guy who scored 22 PL goals, and Utd have an overweight donkey. Utd are likely to be direct competitors for 4th spot. You want to allow them to sell their overweight donkey and use the money to buy your top scorer so you can buy a player who although younger will probably offer half the goals of Auba.

How much would Arsenal even expect to get for 31 year old Auba?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Normally £50m but after negotiations with Woodward £75m

Despite his age, he is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League. There is no-one else we would be able to get of that calibre or who is as reliable at scoring goals as he is. Any signing to replace him would be a risk because it would likely be a player from abroad.

This would be a monumentally stupid decision if it were to go ahead, which thankfully, I do not believe it will.

People need to remember we have VAR now so Zaha will lose his biggest quality.
No way would I sell Auba. Even less so to a PL rival.

Zaha would be great for you, and with Lacazette at the club I think if you offloaded Aubameyang for a good fee somewhere abroad it would be a smart move in the long run. Obviously if he went to a top 4 rival it wouldn't be so clever.

It just seems arsenal have hardly spent in like 15 years, have a huge stadium and are a big club with big following. Just baffling how they cannot spend, and never do. But I guess the proof is in the pudding.
