Mates mate. And family connections.

He might end up staying but the deal has been 99% done for months.

Good luck to him if true, he owes us nothing and its been a joy to watch him.

Arsenal though, I'd loved to have seen him at Spurs or United, proper teams.

Whilst I don’t doubt you, agreeing a fee is more than 1% of a deal 😀

I'd rather see him go to Napoli or one of the other Italian clubs, Arsenal are vvank.

If he does go it must be for a minimum of £25M as he's the best homegrown player since Paul McStay.

That's been agreed. The only issue is whether the wan bissaka deal will make Celtic reconsider. That deal changes the market for full backs completely

Officially sent home from training camp to work on his rehab, it was always gonna be the case of speculation intensifying. But, would he pass any medical with a new club at the moment? Since December, he has only played sporadically & looked anything but fit at these games.

The injury may just work in Celtic's favour & keep him at the club when the window closes.

He was due to resume full training next week so the medical wouldn’t be an issue unless the problem is much more severe.

Ah well

Now about that right back .....

It was always the case that the deal was subject to a full recovery from his op.

I would say that the chances of Tierney getting out the house this week without the world knowing about it are slim

i'd be gutted to lose tierney, i really would.

the moment we spent 7 million on a cb however was the moment i knew him or ntcham were 100% away.

i always say it would be enough for me just to play for celtic, but i dont know if that would be the same after 5 years and achieving a next to impossible treble treble.

i thought he would stay for 9 but if he wants to go then he has to go with our blessings surely?

the absolute state of celtic fans on twitter btw, turning on him, little rats.

Aye but according to some bears the £7m includes the fee, the signing on fee, the agent fees and his wages...so we really got him for about 50 grand

Aye...but he signed a longer deal than the club asked for last time so he has done the right thing by us.

5 years or so in England and he'll be back still in very good shape and able to give us 5 years more. That's my prediction

Surely other clubs after a left back could match his buy out clause?

If he does go then would like that French left back he was making noises about coming. As many french players as you like - (someone said they spoke to Lennon he said learn french theres more coming )

We should also take a moment to check out Julian's Wife - she is welsh so should help him settle in. She was also a dancer in the Moulin Rouge

i'm not sure about a buy out clause tbh.

i really have my doubts, i just cant see lawwell putting a ceiling on what we could get for a player.

It is a minimum clause though then they can negotiate the deal. If more than one club hit that clause they would need to battle it out for him as in offer more to secure him?

the release clause means that if a club offer that minimum amount (25m) or whatever then it cant be rejected and the player has permission to speak to the club. It cant be rejected so teams will not bid any more.

posted on 1/7/19

aye minimum means we have to accept, they aren't then going to offer another 2 million on top of that

What if two clubs meet the clause? Suppose its what personal terms he gets then decides.
