Nah Bairstow has had too many chances
This test side is the worst we have had in decades. Not even sure the future looks particularly great either.

To be fair to Buttler he doesn't have much choice but has played a lot better the last few games. I wouldn't be opposed to him staying in the side but think it can only be justified if he's WK
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And Bairstow....?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Go back a couple of pages. I posted Bairstow's figures
Buttler was class last year and is getting a bit better recently
I wouldn't say so. He was averaging 45 last year so there's an argument for him to stick around a bit. Bairstow has been sh!te for 3 years now.

When is average Joe, the Root of all our problems, going to step down as captain?
Another 40 odd runs at least please.
I come home from to watch Butler in T20 mode
Brilliant
England's day in the end, 300 seems like the best they can do

I'd say even...not a lot in that, they'd have hit 300 for 3 on that wicket
No way is that England's day. Wait till both sides have batted they always say, but FFS, we're 8 down on a brilliant batting track.
Pretty predictable day yesterday. My takeaways were Burns looks the business. Was an excellent innings, but a very disappointing way to get out. He had looked so comfortable.
This should be Denly's last game for England. He also clearly isn't an opener, the selectors have really facked him.
As soon as Stokes went you knew it was 50/50 we would bat out the day. The mindset of this team is pathetic. All they needed to do was keep it tight and concentrate and they could have posted 400+.
Leach is showing the batsman how to do it, he should be in at 9 so a set batsman can have a partner for a few overs.
Highlight of the day was we were next to the corporate area and they didn't clock until after tea we were using their free bar
There was a piece on Trevor Bayliss at lunch on TMS...
Saying how quiet he is - never in the limelight, possibly doesn't speak to the players much either
Maybe when he goes & we get someone more dynamic we might improve
no coincidence that bairstow has been a pretty pants test cricketer since impressing as a one day opener, clearly cant do both. No room for him and Buttler in the test side, he has had plenty of chances and has flopped time for him to be replaced, he has been good with the gloves in the series but Foakes and Buttler are superior glovemen

Anyone listening to TMS at lunch? Talking about Bayliss, and there was an interview with him too. Farbrace currently saying Bayliss often forgets players' names, everyone having a good old laugh about that. What a character, etc.
Wtf...
