? no way, I don't think they will get it but a lead of anywhere between 80-100 will mean aus are in a no lose situation, eng will have to bat out most of the day otherwise if aus say bowl them out in even 2 sessions engs lead will be not much more than 100 which is easily doable in 25-30 with 10wickets in hand

Our quick bowlers apart from Broad and maybe Stokes have bowled poorly this morning and an England victory is pretty well out of sight.

aus batting is weak same as engs yes but their bowling matches up against anyone, look at the players they haven't even selected, 2 teams with big weaknesses its just aussies bowling imo makes up more for their batting than engs

Root and Bayliss will be gentlemen in the dressing now little chat to the players. talk nice and sweetly to them. Root is from the same mould as Cook. Must give them confidence with politeness.How about some honesty? that bowling in the first session was terrible

Lose this test and things need to change immediately. Australia arent even good, shocking captaincy and series so far from root. Broad and burns aside everyone has been average-poor who has played both tests.

What is the plan v Smith? I know he is good but we should have a better plan against him. Its not acceptable to let him average over 100 in this series!

Bowl round the wicket, leg side field, couple of wide slips and a gully, push it across him. Then from the other end bowl good to full and at the stumps. Plug his scoring zones from the one end, forcing him to play through off at balls angled across him, choking off singles in the leg side. Frustrate him so he wants to score more from the other end (the full and straight one) and eventually hope he misses one

Other option would be to have Leach tie down the second end since I think his average against left arm spinners is a fair bit lower...

If only the punishment was 2 years for ball tampering, we would have walked this series
