Yeah I fear that's the game unless Smith isn't fit

Utter caaaants
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cricket or the football ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well cricket
City are a top side and most teams lose there and it’s only 2-1
England are just caaants. If we lose thisit will be worse than Adelaide 2006. Especially as they would have needed only three days to do it
Should have reviewed that lol
These two, Stokes and Buttler, look flustered and ill at ease. Lyon really getting under their skin.
This ball is 37 overs old so anytime soon they will be pestering the Umpires for a change of ball.
Never seen anyone influencing the outcome of the game as singlehandedly as Smith is doing in recent yrs
I think tomorrow could be a cracker. If we get over 200 we could be in for a classic.
Smith has definitely been rattled. However good you are, being smashed at 95mph will damage anyone's confidence.
Honestly I wouldn't bet on Smith being too put off by that. Secondly, love the England fans jizzing themselves over archer, some of his bowling was shocking, the first over with the second new ball was frankly embarrassing, woakes and broad both bowled better.
Funny hearing a whinging Aussie moaning about cheater smith taking a bit of chin music when his own team have been doing this for years with Johnson and now Cummins

This chin music is very normal part of Aussies game. Smith will overcome this and Aus to win today

Spot on, Archer doesn't need the new ball to bowl fast but Woakes benefits from having it. Root went for the crowd pleasing decision instead of the correct cricketing one.
Archer with his pace will be very handy in bouncy pitches and later part of any test matches. Just imagine a pitch which is torn and has variable bounce. Will be extremely lethal at 95mph. Batsmen these days are not very used to this type of pace unlike previous decades.
Recall when Michael Johnson was bowling pure pace in that 2013 ashes series down under. Half of the England team were contemplating retiring midway through the series. Archer brings that type of vibe with his bowling. And when he is bowling doesn’t even look like he is putting in that much effort
Roots captaincy this series has been nothing short of diabolical. I don't even think there is anyone better to do it, but he has to learn quicker than he is.
By the way, I think its time Roy is moved down the order or even dropped. He is a 1 day player and have proved it during this series so far. Also for the 1st time in this series, I think Denly's spot should be scrutinised. Being from Kent, I wanted him to do well but he just isn't performing well enough. Actually, to be fair, comparing this England side to previous test sides, I'd say this team is the weakest it's been in decades.
Root's batting is even more of a concern. He isn't reliable any more, used to consistently get 50s.
I can't even remember the last important hundred he made. Off the top of my head i remember him getting one v India when we were 3-1 up and one v Aus when we were 3-0 down.
Maybe the pressure of captaincy is too much, but who could take over from him?
Anyone else impressed with Leech bowling? Yea he only got 1 wicket but he kept one end super tight allowing rotation at the other end. If that was Ali he would have been going at 3-4 runs an over getting rid if any pressure that might have been built up at the other end.

Naaaaa not really impressed. He's done okay but lets see how he does in the rest of the series.
I didn’t watch Leach bowl but I saw his figures were something like 9 overs for 11 runs before his wicket.
If Moeen had bowled 9 overs he’d have gone for about 35 runs
Aussies are faking diabolical at reviews.
Buttler is unable to score and put any pressure on the bowlers.
