I dunno mate, don't even watch pre season. Get to the point where I need a break from footy , then build myself up for the new season
Reckon you can make the final push this year?
Unfortunate for you guys that in the time you've had your most talented squad and (probably) manager, city and liverpool are breaking records.

I reckon (or hope) Giroud will start the season up top though

posted on 23/7/19

So far we have played two up top with Tammy and Batshooey together and with a one with Giroud!

I don't think either option is likely to lead to a significant goal glut this season!

But you never know!

Haha same, my interest is just starting to come back after a break.

You're right, I think City and Liverpool are just too strong at the moment. Ndombele looks a good signing and I think if we can get a couple more we should be at least pushing 3rd and attempt to win the FA Cup or League Cup which I would love.

With Chelsea I think it's either going to be a master stroke with Frank getting the best out of your youth players and surprising a lot of people or you may struggle a bit.

It's going to be an interesting season.

The thing is, even if it doesnt work with frank, if he gives sufficient time to certain youngsters, we might reap the benefits 1-2 years down the line.

I just hope we can upset liverpool a few times, starting in the super cup

Exactly, I think Chelsea are finally changing their strategy for the best but it may take a while.

Please do

I'm not optimistic of top four this season or even top six.

What I am more excited about, than I have been for a long time, is seeing how many of the youngsters can come through a make an impact.

It's going to be a work in progress for a couple of seasons but exciting times!

Brummie

There is something nice about seeing a youth player come in and step up and make it at your club.

We've been quite lucky that Poch trys to promote youth where he can and super lucky with Kane.

yup we rode the coat tails of JT for too long, even though lampard basically felt like a youth player. It's remarkable the amount of top players we've given the football league, about time a couple stayed. RLC sadly has had injuries but if not he'd be a shoe in for CM next year, such a shame.

Some of the people shouting the loudest here are also trolling sometimes.

It happens and if you can't handle it perhaps this isn't the place for you.

So you happen to get along with people who kiss your arris. Whoop de doo.

I expressed surprise that Lampard lost to that team in particular and then I said I hope he keeps losing. That's called honesty. If that's trolling then I'm a troll and I will keep trolling

Anyone who can't handle that and sees it as a particular problem should move to a single club forum.

Thanks.

if you think our board and people like sandy and dele "kiss our arris" then your a misguided. We're facking chelsea and spurs fans ffs.

You've made a fool of yourself, and it seems like this place isn't for you, not everyone else.
Have a good day. Now run along

It's pretty unfortunate that three (mind you I'm not sure RLC qualifies as youth any longer ) of them are injured.

The one I'm really looking forward to seeing is Reece James. I think he has potential to have a really good career in front of him, I can see him as a future Chelsea captain.

It's a great feeling at the moment, we've probably not had a group of young players like this since Hudson, Ossie, Venables, Chopper and Co came through!

Actually I like it.

Its like MMA when a fighter properly connects with his opponents jaw and his opponent smiles or laughs as if it didn't hurt.

In the fighting world, thats how you know you've caused real damage.

Have you ever looked back and been embarrassed by what you write on here?

When you lose a debate, you revert to forum tactics to try and convince everyone that you're not a seething mess - when in fact it's obvious to everyone that's exactly what you are.

If you start behaving like an adult you might enjoy the forum more.

Gilmour actually looks very good for his age. Been watching him since he was 16 now and 1st saw him live in an FA Youth Cup semi final at St Andrews and thought he looked very impressive that night.

It's nice to see the progress he's made since then and to be honest, I'd rather we'd used him as backup to Kante and Jorg than spend 40m on Kov.

Nope, but I've been embarrassed for you in the past and tbh I do feels pangs of pity for you. I even asked people to stop cretinously referring to autism and ree tardation when they speak about you. Is this the thanks I get?

Stop right there. This has never happened and never will.

I'm too smart to lose a debate and you know it. You'll see this as pride but its possible to never lose a debate.
