Someone mentioned Barca wanting £20m for Coutinho for a 1 year loan. Can't see tightwad Levy going for that.
Reckon they'll be stuck with Eriksen till his contract runs out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stuck with one of the best midfielders in the league.
I'll take it.

Stuck with him because it seems you've been trying to offload him as the deadline approaches.
For a team lacking leadership on the pitch, Eriksen would be a strange signing for United.
When the chips are down, Eriksen is usually one the first to do a disappearing act.

Be a great free signing for anyone that, only be 28.
I quite like the thought of signing him. One of the few we have been linked with that I have actually seen plenty of. Doesn’t seem like a natural leader, but will bring in some creativity.
Not convinced it will happen though.

Juve do like a free transfer.
There is absolutely zero downside to this.
Weaken a rival.
Strengthen an area of our team that needs strengthening.
Bring proven premiership experience in.
It’s a real shame it won’t happen of course.
We've just signed a leader, it's creativity we need, and he can bring that.
Di Marzipan is on about Dybala to Spurs now ffs

We need more leaders on the pitch to be fair. If we sign him, great. We could do with more leadership in midfield though.
Can't see Levy wanting to sell one of his key asset players to us. Certainly not for a favourable cut price.
It could be a minimum of £75 million plus for us.
I said on the thread below Levy would want a fortune. So it's only a good signing if he doesn't.

Good luck to Dybala negotiating his wages with Levy, if Ed Woodward wasn't prepared to pay his demands...

The problem could be Ed.
Ed may not want to miss this opportunity for Eriksen to get him now rather than risk trying to get him in January/ next summer, as i'm sure Eriksen will have more available suitors. But is wary of dealing with Levy.
It wouldn't surprise me if Ed would bid big for Eriksen.
Then again, it could be a late plan attempt to get into a two way bidding war between us and Spurs for Eriksen/Bruno. Basically to see who blinks first to test the waters after what's happened with the Dybala situation.

They're all aware of that. But it's Levy holding the cards in regards to Eriksen. Levy hates to give up any advantages to any big domestic rivals.
He may likely offer Eriksen around to the continental clubs first, to start a bidding war.
We would begrudgingly be his lesser choice. At a high cost of course.
Bye bye Manchester, he cried
Ed took his Chevy to the levy
But the levy was sly
The utd boys were drinking
Crystal and chai
Eriksen? That’ll be the day that I die,
(Said levy)
A long long time ago
I can still remember how
Man Utd used to get good deals
Ed knew if he had his chance
That He could make selling clubs advance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But August made me blue
With every million he’d throw away
Bad news on the transfer
He couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I raged
When I read about sanchez’s wage
Something touched me deep inside
The day that transfer value died
So
Bye bye Manchester, he cried
Ed took his Chevy to the levy
But the levy was sly
The utd boys were drinking
