Eriksen consistently covers the most yards of any player in the PL, does he not? So, I don't think laziness is a criticism that can be levelled at him. Whether Spurs would sell to United, I have my doubts
I feel that a player like him becoming available in a situation like it is now would be mad to miss the opportunity.
However, because of having to operate under the circumstances i still wouldn't be surprised if we ended up missing out on him.
Although DM is more of an issue, i feel Ed will put all of his final eggs in one basket and we may pursue this until nothing comes of it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem is, don’t sell him in the EPL and no one else moves - then he signs for a club for free in the EPL in Jan. I’d rather we guaranteed £50-£70m (what ever the figure is) regardless of the club. Him moving to United for free is absolutely worse case
That's true from a Spurs perspective. I think Levy will be trying his best to attract a decent offer from outside of England but will want to get it done before Thursday's English deadline.
Hahahaha, were apparently after Llorente on a free transfer now
I think all spurs fans have accepted for some
Time he’s gone. United not ideal obviously but as Nielsen said, he’s not a limelight player so his stock isn’t as high with Real Madrid etc so they’re not prepared to pay his (discounted) value.
I don’t believe Man Utd are Eriksen’s first, second or third choice, but I can see why he’d accept it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
And that’s the problem with the EPL deadline closing earlier than the rest of Europe - it’s a massive gamble to turn down United if they’re the only ones bidding by Thursday.
This could really shape Levy’s legacy - ship him off to PSG / Madrid etc for £50 mil, or lose him on a free to United in Jan - huge difference.

In fairness we haven't often been successful with corner plays, and although Eriksen is seen as bad at taking them. It wouldn't change anything in terms of what we're expecting or hoping.
I'm sure the club are looking more at his cohesion with his attacking side of play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that true?
I know he wasnt very good during that mid season dip they had but my impression was he'd been good for the rest of it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His free kicks are inexcusable but a lot of the problems we have from corners is instructional - we only ever aim for the near post, so over half our attempts dont beat the first man and over 60% get cleared at the near post
He still should be doing better but that definitely contributes to it

We’d have been better off keeping Fellaini.
Levy may quote £50 million to European clubs, but to us add another £25 million minimum.
It's hard work with Levy. And that's what maybe the ultimate collapse for this possible deal.
Unless he has a change of heart and grabs what he can regardless. Hmm...
Most of the rumours are saying he'd accept only a 10 million premium from an English club. But of course, if PSG come in with 70 or 80 million, then that would change everything

I don’t think there will be the premium - certainly not that much. I’m not aware of any European clubs coming in for him (obviously I’m not ITK!) but we can’t afford to lose him for free. So if United are the only club bidding by Thursday, there won’t be much of a premium

I don't think even moneybags PSG would be that desperate to pay over the odds for a quality with only a year left on his contract.
Unless he was a world class marquee player.
But if Eriksen was on a free or come January time, i think they would consider negotiating with him.
People always throw PSG’s name into the equation without ever factoring in whether they are even interested in those players. PSG have already signed an attacking midfielder this summer.
They’re looking at strengthening the defensive midfield and defensive positions.

He may have considered it which wouldn't surprise me, because it's a domestic rival club. But as the clock is ticking he is losing money on Eriksen.
So he needs to act quick.
As for Eurpean clubs, i don't think he currently has much options. Not on the top tier levels anyway.
Madrid have cooled their interest in him. And they're after De Beek or they've agreed terms with him.
Barca don't need him.
Can't see PSG being in a hurry to get him...yet.
Juve unlikely to be after him at the moment, as they're still hoping to get Lukaku.
And Munich seem to be quiet on the transfer market this window.
Juventus are waiting for him to be available on a free.
