it was the arrogance of it all that scunnered me
Led an anti EU campaign slagging them off for 2 years.
then when the country voted for brexit gave it
"we want THIS!"
no.
"well we want THIS!"
no
"well we demand THIS!"
no
"you are being unreasonable! give us all the stuff we want!"
no
the british way.
I don't know how anyone expects manual workers to reach 75 let alone retire at that age. And in one piece. I was fortunate only to work for 10 years doing that sort of work.. and my knees are already feeling the effects.
Then you've got that coupled with the fact were apparently the 5th wealthiest nation on earth, with one of the lowest pensions in the western/developed world and you have to wonder where is all the money going?
As soon as I'm earning enough, I'll be looking into other means of investing my money for the future in order to take early retirement.

Robots will do all the manual labour but there should be some sort of universal income - Torys would never allow it though. Not sure how far in the future the robots will take place, hard to tell. Hopefully paying off our house then downsizing to release money will allow me to retire without a mega pension
Iain duncan smith sucks the dhicks btw

Hmmm
This retirement age isn’t compulsory is it?
We are an increasingly ageing population becoming more dependent upon an decreasingly younger population. The public purse can’t sustain the outgoing so it’s quite simple really.
Make people more responsible for saving for a pension themselves, increase the funding to maintain or lower the pension age and raise taxes.
Wait. Hang on.
Of course; raise taxes to pay for it.
As long as it’s the “rich” eh?
What people don’t realise now is that what qualifies as being “rich” these days must now include middle income families. They don’t want to pay so it’s left to those who are rich and the poor who are the two population entities who bear by far the highest burden on tax.
So what you’re saying is tax the poor even more.
I’m quite disgusted with you to be honest.
Not sure how far in the future the robots will take place
