i have a very simple plan.

tax people.

earn x you are taxed y

my wage has gone up over the years and i have paid more tax, and i'm happy to do it because its the only way that it works.

Tax breaks for the rich is unacceptable tbh, as are these chimps (and i include celtic players before anyone starts) that try and avoid paying it through snidey means.

tbh we all know what the problem is

ginger.

he's the problem
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmm

This retirement age isn’t compulsory is it?

We are an increasingly ageing population becoming more dependent upon an decreasingly younger population. The public purse can’t sustain the outgoing so it’s quite simple really.

Make people more responsible for saving for a pension themselves, increase the funding to maintain or lower the pension age and raise taxes.

Wait. Hang on.

Of course; raise taxes to pay for it.

As long as it’s the “rich” eh?

What people don’t realise now is that what qualifies as being “rich” these days must now include middle income families. They don’t want to pay so it’s left to those who are rich and the poor who are the two population entities who bear by far the highest burden on tax.

So what you’re saying is tax the poor even more.

I’m quite disgusted with you to be honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't advocate taxing the wealthy/rich, I say shoot them and take their stuff
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That’s not your advocation though is it?

That’s your job description

You like my idea of lowering the working age to 10 years old don't you 👍

Truck drivers, manual labour, pilots. Robots will do the work and everyone should get a slice of the earnings. In theory. Have you never heard of Universal Income?

The latest rumour is Begovic to Celtic... already mentioned it but it got lost in the tory bashing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The tax system in this country is an unwholly disorganised mess with layer upon layer of complication built over many decades.

It needs unravelling but no government has the balls to do it.

As for tax avoidance, good on them. Tax evasion is an entirely different matter altogether. As such anyone who chases schemes of get rich quick is likely to be caught. Tough on them.

Tell us again how the working poor (which has risen up dramatically under this government) are supposed to save for a pension?

I'm not a violent man, I've not thrown a punch since I left primary school, but I would kick IDS' kant in over and over again and not feel a tiny little bit bad about it. I despise him in a way that is very hard to put into words. He's like a Dickensian villain, but much much worse.

they aren't, they will die young, especially when they cant afford healthcare.

problem solved, no need to pay them any money.

Since when did people suddenly become excusably irresponsible for their own well being and future care?

Of course they should save something. We’ve created a large chunk society that unfortunately still has an air of expectation without commitment.

Ffs we had to bring in a law to make sure workers saved 1% of their salary into their own pensions fund.

Of course those poorer and in poor health need help but to just take no responsibility whatsoever is profoundly wrong.
