Lets be honest, no polititian respects the electorate, they all dripfeed honey to the likes of you and me when it suits them (when they want your vote) but ignore us, initially I was a remainer, foolishly I beleive in democracy, however it now appears that democracy only works when its the right type and suits political agenda. Leave won, I beleive as a remainer that should have been respected.
The route we are going down will mean any future vote will be useless.
With his brother leaving now it really is quickly becoming a total disaster for Boris.

Hopefully it will ensure that we never vote on something as open ever again.
You need defined positions with details to enable the electorate to vote with a degree of understanding what they are voting for. The referendum was a nonsense.

The Tories were dancing to Farage when they called it. Still are.
Jo Johnson is quitting to spend LESS time with his family.
It just keeps getting better for Boris.
In the past 36 hours he has;
Lost his majority
Lost 21 backbenchers
Lost control of the agenda
Lost his temper
Lost all 4 votes
Lost his brothers support.
Politicians need putting back in their place, they think they’re above everyone else and that they’re something special.
I still find the stance of "we should respect the referendum" absolutely amazing.
Tje leave campaign literally broke electoral law.
Anyway glad to see the Facist party falling apart.
And it was an advisory referendum. And the advice was shiiiiiiit.
Yeah but foreigners Darren. Bloody foreigners.
I saw an analysis that immigration will actually go up as all trade deals with places like India will include requests for VIAS's
Meanwhile right wing hedge fund managers make shiiiiiit loads from betting against the pound.
That’s actually the best bit about Brexit actually.
Ashamed that these career polititians are supposedly representing us
Interesting views on here. I voted remain. The referendum question was a punt by Cameron to ward off UKIP. The Conservative party have been a loggerheads for years over Europe and all Tory pms post Maggie thatcher have lost their jobs over it.
The referendum was an advisory vote and Vote leave broke electoral law by overspending. Had the referendum been lawfully binding it would have been overturned due to illegality.
The referendum gave a binary choice. In theory we leave eu but remain in customs union and single market and I would suggest that would satisfy the vote ie by leaving eu. Undoubtedly most would not be in favour of this and it brings us to the fundamental problem. What does brexit mean? It could mean staying in single market and cu but could also mean walking away on cliff edge basis. WTO or clean break brexit are just made up phrases for crashing out.
The referendum didn’t decide what leaving the eu means and we still cannot decide.
I believe there is no mandate for crashing out without a deal as absolutely no political party nor individual campaigned on that basis at the referendum. It was all £350m per week for nhs, easiest deal in history, sunlit uplands etc. All now demonstrably bs.
As to those who say parliament is preventing a brexit - undoubtedly a complaint against remain leaning mps they should look at the brexiters who voted against Teresa mays deal. Her deal would have had us leave the eu but right wing erg didn’t want that. So again we have a problem defining what brexit actually is.
Whilst I believe those who want to leave eu are wrong, 17.4 million voted to leave and there is clearly no mandate to withdraw article 50. You can therefore understand when brexiter voter say that they feel disenfranchised, that what is the point of voting etc
My view on that is that parliament acted upon the referendum vote by triggering article 50 and have then had problems of how to agree how we should leave.
My view is that the only clear way of resolving is by further referendum. Even that Dickensian hatstand Rees Mogg thought two referendums would be sensible.
I think therefore there should be another referendum. It could be in two parts, first do you want to leave or remain. If you tick remain then thats it. If you ticked leave you have a second option of deal or no deal.
Obviously I would hope remain won but if not it would give a proper mandate to parliament as to how we go out.
The idea that anyone actually thought he would be a decent PM because he's a "character" is mental.

Over the years I have been working with European partners running joint projects and bringing hundreds of fellow Europeans on work visits, placements and courses to the UK. With this Brexit b*ll*x the last couple of years we have changed some of our focus to working with Nigeria. This coming year we intend to bring dozens of Nigerians over to replace some of the fellow Europeans on our projects. I am sure the Brexit voters will welcome this initiative
