Great pass. One of those you try in testimonials etc as if you try in a real game and it doesnt come off it looks awful. Lescott may as well have sat down.

You can tell by his body shape it was intentional. World class players never lose their touch even when the body has aged, and you see that in these sorts of games where they have licence to take more liberties. I went to OT and saw Maradona play in the first SoccerAid, he was a fat old blob, yet he had more time and space on the ball than guys 20 years younger and his touch was ridiculous.

The standard of football (especially in the Prem) has increased 10 fold since their days. Gerrard is about the equivalent of Lewis Cook. Probably would not get in the Bournemouth team.
Maradona would get his legs broken in 2 seconds if he tried the Prem these days. He is realistically a slow Nathan Redmond in today's football. It's like you saying computer games were amazing back in the 80s. They were terrible. But that's just all you knew. What you know and love is a lie.

nah still looks like a miss hit to me and he'd probably admit it. ofc hes meant the pass but two players to lescotts right and he hits it to lescotts left, it worked out well sure but be a lot better pass if he'd hit it in the right direction.
