“I believe that there were also family reasons too.”
Scholes is from a famously ‘Oldhamer not English’ family.

He absolutely did it on purpose. I don’t actually think it was that good a pass though, unless he also factored in Lescott having the turning circle of an oil tanker.
Scholes and Carrick were both great to watch last night, Neville and Carragher too but for other reasons!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How did it finish? Not that it really matters; just curious.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2-2 decent result considering one side were spearheaded by Robbie Keane and RVP whilst the other was Benjani (last min equaliser) and Darius Vasell 😂
Brought memories flooding back watching Martin Petrov refuse to pass for 90 minutes.

I was listening to Talksport last night and I think United were 7/4 to win, as City were supposed to have a few current players playing and our team was supposed to be all retired. I nearly had a bet on United, as I thought that we'd give you a game. Should have got on it.
Didn’t even know they’d take odds tbh!
Current players were always going to have a minimal role, and when Dietmar Hamann came on I thought it would be over!
Shout out for Tim Cahill and a nice contribution from him 👍

Yes, i was surprised myself. You never now with these games who will actually make the starting line up, how many subs will be made and how many of them will do their ankle in the first 5 minutes.
As a side note it will be interesting to see if there is much change over the next few months since there must have been about 1.5m in ticket sales to go into the pot to help tackle homelessness.
Scholes Instagram account is also brilliant, he is like a 50 year old mother of 3 the way he posts.

For all the talk of a Paul Scholes pass though... Michael Carrick could still do a decent job for United ON the pitch, based on last night.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree ,Carrick strolled through the game and bossed it for them. Thought NDJ did well too, I still maintain that we never really replaced him like for like.
Did anyone else notice that one side had 2 number 11s and the other had 2 number 27s on the pitch at the same time. Quiz question for the future lol
Nige definitely looked one of the handier of those out there!
Didn’t need to replace him like for like though, we’ve evolved into a side with more flair players, who aren’t afraid to do their own fair share of the kicking 😜
Adrian Durham doesn't rate Scholes as one of the greats, and I tend to agree. Great is subjective of course, but for me, they are midfielders like Zidane, Iniesta, Rivaldo plus a few more.

Durham? That facking fat, flabby, four eyed, pompous, pious, pig ugly sack of ginger sheite? A low rent antagonistic click bait merchant, a two bob broadcaster who has never played pro football? I wouldn’t wipe my arrsehole with his opinion even if it was printed on silk bog roll - I’d sooner gauge the thoughts of the excremental smears I’d just left decorated on the pan. Quoting him as a source of reference in a serious football conversation is like paraphrasing one of Harold Shipmans research papers at the GMC Conference. If Durham suddenly keeled over with a massive stroke and was lost to the world of radio broadcasting forever I wouldn’t lose a nanoseconds sleep - in fact I’d go to bed early that night to get a full 8.5 hours in, then hit the snooze button a few times in the morning.

If Pogba tries that pass , the ball would end up in the row z
