You said the media and general public.
Oh dear.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve clearly been talking about how incidents are reported / discussed, not general reputation.
Keep up.

I didn’t question you bringing it up.
I questioned you saying that there’s not a ‘subtle difference’ in the reputation of drivers vs cyclists because that’s not what I said.

Right, so there's a subtle difference in what the media say, but not what the general public say/think? Right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Facking hell, it’s like you can’t actually read sometimes.

The Piers Morgan tactic of trying to reframe a debate with yes or no questions.
Listen, I never mentioned reputation. It wasn’t even being discussed.
We were discussing how crashes are referred to by the media and the public. I said there’s a subtle difference in the wording. I proved it.
What are you struggling with?
Or are you just trying to muddy the waters because you tried to prove me wrong and facked it up as usual?

“And it's certainly not a subtle difference. Cyclists have a far worse reputation.”
This comment.
It has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

Well It did. The moment you mentioned the media and general public in the same post.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it didn’t, because I’m talking about the wording when discussing a crash, not reputation.

Both.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And is that due to an agenda against cyclists?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No.
You can’t just say you made a mistake, can you? Not where I’m concerned anyway.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok. So why is the language used subtlety different? What's the reason?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I personally think it’s caused by an underlying bias and entitlement, as I explained earlier.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think in general, people do. Drivers in particular.
I’d say that the journalists, headline writers and general public wouldn’t even realise the subtle difference that we’ve talked about until it’s pointed out to them (with the exception of the Daily Mail of course).

So after answering your questions, it’s clear you misunderstood and didn’t read what I’d said properly.
Nothing to do with reputation.
