Maybe but I bet if we went in for all 3 in the summer they’d be United players right now.
It's the boardroom.
We had a net spend of about £35-40m this summer when ins.outs and wage savings are considered and whethere Ole says it or not the purse strings have been well and truly tightened. Glazers may be considering a sale and are reluctant to spend.
Tierney will prove to be a bargain and Tielemans was an ideal Herrera replacement and for reasonable money as well.

Tielemans is the most baffling one. Apparently he wanted United but wasn’t prepared to wait around for us. Don’t blame the lad.
Apparantely your scouts didnt rate Fernandes.
We say it every summer. The decision making at the club is terrible.

Tierney wanted to play for Arsenal,so i doubt if you would have signed him,you could have gazumped any offers for the other two, usual United practice.
After a season of shaw being consistent(ly average) I doubt ole even thought about signing a LB

I’m sure he wanted to play for Arsenal over Celtic but we’re still a bigger draw than Arsenal.
Maybe not after this season though.

Which again was stupid. Shaw is decent but now that he’s injured we’ve no proper back up.
Danny Rose was apparently available for 20 million too.

Better than Young or Rojo
Everyone eventually ends up signing for United one way or another.
I don't see why you lot should be worried. Every single agent will be on the phone once you get rid of Olé and get someone decent in.
Left back was clearly an issue but for some reason everyone seems to rate Shaw highly. What made things worse was that we signed a right back that is weak going forward.
Every top 6 side bar liverpool should have been looking at Tierney and sounds like only arsenal were

Shaw is ok but to have one proper left back in the squad is foolish especially with Shaws injury history.

How do we know Woodward is to blame? He spent 130 mill on two defenders because the manager wanted them.
Would he really have said no to 40 mill for Tielemans?
Should probably see how he does first then.
Yeah having only one proper left back was foolish. But it wasn’t even the most foolish decision we made this summer. But we had a good transfer window apparently.
