Even if we have to sack Ole, who's available during this season who'd be much better? We need to give Ole another transfer window, and not a January window. Ole's still learning, and he's beginning to show that he can change it up, and that was my biggest complaint earlier in the season. I know Paunch wouldn't walk on water if we brought him in to manage this mess of a squad. When we say we need patience - we mean just that. Sir Alex didn't shine his first 3 seasons, did he? But he learned and we progressed. Patience is difficult and requires some real back bone, which seems in short supply from our online support. The supporters that attend matches have much more patience - let's listen to these lads and see if they want to sack Ole right now - I reckon not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Patience? We have seen very little to suggest Ole can build a title.winning side, which surely is the aim. What's the point in giving him time to prove it to those that cant see it already?

So many things is wrong with this club and it's set up.

Trying to find the right methods to lift this club back up to where it belongs is a big big task.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not really. Appoint a top manager and sign quality.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That's just one part of it. (If that works in the next appointment?)

The way the club has poorly been run is a bigger issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It really isnt isnt as far as the football side of things go.

soop so what is Solskjaer supposed to do when players like Rashford and Greenwood need about 10 good chances per goal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know I shouldn't respond to you because it's completely hopeless, but when on earth have you witnessed - and by 'witnessed', I mean during the match with your own actual eyes (as opposed to some stupid statistic you plucked from somewhere) - all these "chances" created for our strikers/attackers?

This is like the most inefficient Man Utd side in PL history. Even newly promoted teams are extremely clinical and have keepers who regularly save a decent amount of shots.

It feels like one of those seasons it doesn't matter what we do the opposition seem to have the luck against us.

You see nearly every team create a lot less than us and score and concede from a lot more chances against them.

Also if you look at the goals we have conceded, its just extremely soft goals.

Honestly can't remember us having one lucky result in the PL since March.

You know that we made one single decent chance today, right? One. Just one.

OP. You have already said that you want him sacked now. You have the patience of a child, who cannot have what he wants immediately

Yeah that one chance that was harder to miss than score.

We also got into lots of great positions but each time fluffed our lines when it mattered mainly due to Fred and Young. Also once Rashford was nearly in but hit it at defender and chance was gone and Lingard was nearly in and then messed it all up.

Lets be honest if we had any intellegent players last 20 minutes we would have won. Each time we had a good chance to make something happen we completely did the opposite to what any player in the league would do.

I would love to see Youmg and Fred crosses and passing stats since Solskjaer came in.

I don't think they ever make a decent cross or decent pass in any game since Solskjaer took charge. The last 20 minutes the main reason we didn't win was due to these 2 stupid players.

Fred shoots tamely at keeper and also over the bar when we have a complete overload. Young has like 10 decent chances to cross it in and completely fluffs each one of them.

Name another top side who scores less than expected and concede more than expected in nearly every PL game since March?

Yes you have. When you said if Ole doesn't get ten points from the next four games he should be sacked. As we have lost one of the four the most points we can get is nine.

So yes, you have said we should sack him now.

posted on 2/11/19

3 wins from the 4 might be OK. Depends where those results leave us in the table I suppose.

What would it take for you to think Ole should go?

posted on 2/11/19

No one specific thing. If I think the players lose belief in him, bottom 3 at Christmas, that kind of thing leaves no choice.
But in the main, so long as it stays at patchy form, and if his buys are good in my eyes, then I want him to have a good chance.

A volley at an awkward angle that came off the post? It wasn't harder to miss than score at all.

You said we make loads of chances but miss them. But now seem to be conceding we only made one real chance? Which is it Hafi?

I WANT him to do well. But our patchy form could see us 12th if Spurs win their game. And I just dont see where the improvement is going to come from. Pogba? Shaw?

The fact is Man Utd are 4th on expected goals and 1st on expected goals against and 3rd on expected points. Despite that we are 13th on actual goals scored and 5th on actual goals conceded and 10th on points.

Its not Solskjaer fault we have failed to win most of the games we deserved to win. Feel sorry for him. Before today Rashford had a higher expected goal stat than Newcastle United.

Hafi, you’ve failed the most basic test. I asked you to name these chances *with your eyes from the actual game*, not these nonsense stats that nobody recognises from actually watching the games.

Can you list more than one really good chance we made today? Can you against Chelsea?

Hafi to be fair was watching on PlayStation through an app called PES2019. That's why he saw differently. Ronaldo almost scored from a messi pass in his game.

We missed about 7 great chances against Norwich City.

That was the game I knew we won't finish top 4.

They have been at Man Utd long enough now to be able to take chances.

Its not like we are missing hard chances. We are missing easy chances regularly.

People were talking Rashford up the last week when he is main reason why we have struggled since March. The reason he has so many goals is he had an insane amount of chances.

I noticed nearly every team we played this season there most efficient game usually is against Man Utd.

Also Rashford offers very little to us when teams park the bus. He seems to hide and when he has the chances I would bet him to miss nearly every time as he rarely scores.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They may have been at Manchester United long enough, however they are still children in comparison to other strikers. Feck, Mason Greenwood would be doing his A-Levels and Rashford his final year at University.

Where is the experience?! Throughout the thread you have talked about all these missed opportunities, it is quite clear these players are currently not able to finish games when we desperately need them too.

I'm by no means Ole out, I'm smart enough to realise we have tried every other chose before his appointment, however it's the implementation of this new direction we are heading towards, which is costing Manchester United.

The season potentially is a write-off, which I have no problem with, but Ole has two transfer windows to give us some positivity, before the plane is flying over Old Trafford. [Our fans are not exactly patient!]

These are the must win games, not league cup games against the likes of Chelsea.
----------------------------------------------------
Needing a wonder goal to beat our second string side should've told you everything about your team right now. Our first XI is packed with inexperienced youngsters let alone the second team - we had a guy playing his first professional match at CB and you STILL couldn't score from open play.

Solskjaer needs to go. The imbalances of the squad is his shield, it's true but it doesn't change the fact he's just not good enough.

posted on 2/11/19

Also for a side that creates so little its amazing we are 4th on expected goals and 1st on expected goals against.

In fact since Solskjaer took charge in PL last season we were 3rd on expected goals but scored 4.40 less than expected and 6th on expected goals against but 3rd on expected points.

This season 4th on expected goals and 1st on expected goals against and 3rd on expected points.

Since Solskjaer took charge we have scored 9.48 goals less than expected and conceded 0.25 more than expected.

We are 3rd on expected points since Solskjaer took charge. The fact we scored 9.48 goals less than expected since Solskjaer took charge is crazy considering Solskjaer was a striker and should have taught them how to finish.

Just to put it into perspective Leicester City scored 11.69 goals more than expected this season.

We are so bad that we beat Norwich City 1-3 in a game we had higher expected goals than what Leicester City managed when winning 0-9 away to Southampton.

But what about today Hafi? Or Chelsea? Or Liverpool? Or Newcastle? Or West Ham? Can you please talk me through this wildly long list of genuine ‘should-have-scored’ chances that our strikers keep missing, please?

I don’t want made-up statistics. Just real world examples. Thanks.
