In his post match press conference Nuno heaped praise on to Neves and Traore for their performances yesterday. Meanwhile Villa manager Dean Smith said that Jiminez was one of the best players they have come up against since they returned to the top flight
The 343 formation definitely brings out the best in our players. Glad I've been recommending it to Nuno the majority of the season.
With regards to Jota, he has stated this season as he started the last one - with zero goals.
He scored 10 goals last season, the first one came on December 5th against Chelsea.
Let's hope that he runs true to form and does the same in the second half of the season as last time.
Because its Monday morning and despite yesterdays convincing performance and victory I'm feeling a tad grumpy and pedantic, so I feel it's time to pull up Spangles on his spelling of our number nine's name.
Raúl Jiménez is the correct spelling of his abbreviated name. Adding accents on a keyboard is a bit of a faff so I'll accept Jimenez, but not Jiminez in future.
Quite right Oldgold, No one needs that on a Monday morning.
I am duly rebuked. I only put another I into Jiminez because I always wanted to be a centre forward
You will have wanted to be Steve Bill then as well.
Agree with what you all say about Jota, I hope he comes good in the scoring department soon. It just seems a shame that he puts in so much effort then misfires.
You are probably right in that he tries too hard.

Think you mean Stieve Beel.
I have at different times in my life wanted to be Derik Dougan, Steve Bill and Raul Jiminez. I did like the links last year with Divick Origi

The less said about you Lonesome, the better and Goldie, I've been wanting to correct him too for a while now, but didn't want to start another war of words.
Is that because you always win the argument Wolfie ?

Surely Warnock will retire now, 70 years old he is although remains quite sprightly. Been a decent manager at his level, but not what you’d call a pleasant bloke
Major knee jerk error that, who else are they going to find that's going to get what Warnock's got out of that bunch of players.

I hope and pray that he's not given a job as a pundit. He needs to just crawl back under a stone and disappear for ever.
On Sunday Adama Traore became the first player to complete over 10 dribbles in a Premier League match this season. Mings showed the only way they could stop him and he was lucky to just get a yellow not a red
Villa pretty much took it in turns to kick him, not much more you can do to stop him if you haven't got the pace.
Looks like warnock has walked or at least was encouraged to.
FA cup game at Harrogate, playing Pompey, lashing down, freezing cold and floodlights have failed before kick off. Pougatch and Michael Owen presenting outside and kick off delayed for an hour
