See the anti Saiss squad are out again.
I thought he had a great game, but of course his booking overshadows that.
Think you need to look at the stats
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Saiss is one of 3 Wolves players on 4 yellow cards. I don't hear anyone moaning about Neves and Jimenez do you?
Saiss has been one of our most consistent performers this season. He got booked early, the end, it's a bit daft to be criticising a performance based on a booking.
I'm certainly not making excuses for them, they can get fecked as far as I'm concerned but pretty bad luck to lose you're back up keeper 6 minutes in.
...........................................
Yes agree, Villa are w@nk and can go feck right off
.............................................
You Wolves fans are as charming as ever I see
Villa spent £144.5m in the summer and if they haven't got a decent midfielder to play when Grealish is injured, more fool them. Every team has a talisman, Man City have de Bruyne but I didn't notice them falling apart when he was injured.
.............................................
I kinda agree with the sentiments echoed that the players we signed in summer should have been of more proven quality. However, comparing us losing our best player to a side like City who have spent over £1bn on their squad is plain lunacy. They have been building a formidable team to take on the world for the last 10 years spending **** loads of money in the process, we've had one summer of being a top flight club and came up with a squad of ageing Championship players who we instantly released upon promotion.
And even their massively expensive side wobbles when they have injuries - they were dismantled by Liverpool today and I'm pretty sure if Laporte and Ederson had played that defence would not have conceded three goals.

He did play well, but anyone who claims they weren't concerned when he picked up that early booking is either deluded or lying. I think it is testament to how good a team performance it was, that we didn't allow him to become isolated really following that.
All a bit feisty tonight aren't we
And me the only one who had to stand in the station queue with a bunch of 'em.
The foul for the booking for Saiss was bloody daft, was always going to draw a card from a jumped up d!ck like Taylor. Thought he had a decent game after that though but he keeps putting himself under completely unnecessary pressure.
Attendance was 31,607 today, the largest crowd at Molineux for 38 years
A lot of us wondered whether Wolves would do as well in the Premier League this season, what with all them European games and all that.
Well we now have 16 points from 12 games. Last season after 12 games we had 16 points
Don't think performances have been as good league wise for the most part but the last few games we have definitely adapted and now look much better for it. It's a shame we have a break now just when we seem to be hitting our stride.
I thought Saiss had a good game today. I also thought the referee had a good game. He booked a Villa player early on for holding back one of our players by the shirt, and rightly so. After that, he was duty bound to give a for similar cynical fouls. He also ignored several penalty appeals that the TV slo-mo views proved to be spot-on. To me fair and balanced, and the Sky analysts said that they agreed with me. (Not said, to my face, obviously, just that they made the same observations, and I thought to myself, "that's what I think also".)
Quite a few players ended up with a , but it wasn't a dirty game. I enjoyed it, and was impressed with Jonny and Moutinho, and gave Traore MOM, (which I understand was a popular view).

I was probably there 38 years ago. Wonder what the game was...
Looking at getting some wine for Xmas, spotted that Laithwaites are doing a Portuguese red called Quinta do Espirito Santo. The wine might be a bit of a gamble, but cannot resist explaining why I bought it.
Wolves next few games have the promise of a few more points. We play Bournemouth and Brighton away and Sheffield Utd and West Ham at home. Three of those teams are below us in the league. Bit of a surprise that the exception is Sheffield Utd, who would have believed they would start so well

It wasn't a dirty game at all, there were mistimed tackles but the only ones that deserved cards were Mings and Saiss for me. Taylor bought a lot of the falling over stuff from Villa, I thought they got a lot of very soft free kicks.
Sad to hear that Traore picked up an injury today and has had to pull out of joining the Spanish squad for the first time

I said earlier he was limping badly during the handshakes and a trainer seemed to be consoling him at that time, I guess then he knew.

You'd think we should be able to keep the unbeaten run going through that stretch of games and with just four points separating west ham in 16th and Sheffield in 5th it will shake the table up a fair bit too. Of course you can pretty much guarantee Leon Clarke wil come on and score the winner in the Sheff U game so we can write that one off now.
It was probably when Mings put him in row Z that he sustained the injury?
I am bit concerned that all on here are singing Jota's praises. Whilst he is a very tricky player and provides openings he has only scored one goal in the league so far.
If he can score more goals from the chances he makes and gets he would be the new Hazard.
Hopefully he can make that part of his game better.
I think he just needs a goal Boston. It looks like he's trying too hard and snatching at chances that he would have put away comfortably before. 🐝
Jota seems to go through patches. We have seen it the previous two seasons.
He will go through a spell where you wouldn't want anyone else in front of goal, such is his composure and finishing. Then he goes through a dry spell where he snatches at chances. At least this time he is still playing with confidence and running at people. Previously he has gone missing in his dry spells.
Jota is finally over some niggly injuries, Jiminez has had a rest week in the last international break and will get another one now, and Traore has been getting better and better. The last two weeks has been the first time we have seen all three firing at the same time, and there surely aren’t many better front lines in the division
