Three points at the death. I was just getting depressed. But now, I'm on top of the world.

A bit of what?

Good win against a decent side I thought. The mk Don's player had to go. Can't raise your hands even though verlinden provoked it. Strange taking off both dodo and o'Grady. O'Grady doesn't miss pens by the way. Verlinden was a constant threat down the left and the mistake for Murphy's goal was because of his persistence. Are we ok with a solid defence and 3 holding midfielders ? Got us a win not conceding. Positive points at least until midweek. Just got to forget points deductions and earn 76 to 80 points which is do able.

Disgusted after the penalty miss, went out came back to a great result , it’s a 96 min game I should know better, anyway celebrations tonight that’s for sure,
Benny I bet you enjoyed that 5⭐️💫✨

The guy who got sent off was woefull and was getting mullered every time. Actually thought O'Grady should've been taken off a little earlier as it was crying out for us to have a go at them down both flanks.

That said you can't argue with a last minute goal in your favour can you.

We didn't know what we were going to get when the takeover was completed. What we did get is a management team that up to press has actually done a great job on little, or should I say no spending except wages. They brought players into the club that have worked hard and started to get results.

I hope that they will continue to get the result that we are going to need to be able to stave off what was, at the start of the season, almost certainly going to be a relegation season. It may well still be the case but it won't be for the want of trying.

I have to say that we wouldn't be in our present position of hope if it hadn't been for Sharron Brittain, Michael James and the rest of the investors. Against all odds, they seem to have come up with the goods. By that I mean, for a little consortium who except for being football fans, had no experience of managing a football ball with all the pitfalls that entails, have appointed a good management team and allowed them to get on with the job whilst they, look to see that the name of Bolton Wanderers starts to regain the respect and good name that our club deserves.

It is, of course, early days but if the start that we are enjoying is anything to go by, we could be in for a ride of progression, even though it may not be as fast as some of us would like.

Whatever happens, I believe it will be much more positive than the last four or five years that we have been forced to endure.

Going to the match now doesn't feel like the massive chore it used to. I skipped a load of matches over last 3 seasons due to it crushing my spirit by just turning up.

We must be doing OK - Sky TV is back on the under the stand TVs!!!!

I think getting rid of the dross of players and the last management team has been a big positive.

I know the players weren't treated properly by Anderson, as the stadium staff wasn't but I always thought that the players going on strike was the wrong thing to do. I know that the management team had to take a good share of the blame but I also think that certain players had perhaps got too cozy and perhaps lost their direction and motivation.

Are we due punishment today from the EFL or will it drag on and on

posted on 20/11/19

We won't hear anything punishment wise for "weeks". It's almost as if they are seeing how we're progressing before pressing the button.

Personally I'd give us a 3 point penalty for the Brentford game suspended until we reach the Championship again, (as this was the division we should be punished in), and a fine for the Doncaster game as it was last minute and was a safeguarding issue not anything sinister.

But this is the EFL at work here so it could be anything.

Ridiculous its taking this long to decide. My view is can't do anything about it and carry on winning games. Lincoln out of the cup. Can we bang some heads together and get that away game played a week on Saturday as both have a free weekend.

My thoughts exactly. If we continue to get the points on the board they will slap us with a maximum of 6 points for each game that we failed to play. What other reason can there possibly be for delaying announcing our fate?

It matters little to these faceless men that almost all of the players responsible and our previous owner has walked away with cash in hand and will not face any of the hardship for his actions.
