Will the EFL appeal, or stand by the decision?
After all the Independent Disciplinary Commission was appointed under EFL's own Regulations.
It would be hypocritical of them if they did appeal the decision, but nothing surprises me anymore where EFL is concerned.
a Whites Christmas
Onwards and up the table only 49 more points required to hit K Hills target.
So guys, no Christmas present from the EFL. Read below the statement from the club.
Bolton Wanderers Football Club is aware of the EFL’s decision to appeal the verdict that was reached by the Independent Disciplinary Commission.
The Club’s Chairman Sharon Brittan said: “We are naturally very disappointed by this outcome as we had hoped a line had been drawn and we’d be able to move on.
“We will vehemently defend any appeal.”
The Club will not be making any further comments on this issue until the matter has concluded.
The EFL broke rules themselves by insisting that young players play more than one game per week. They have to answer why the did nothing to protect our youth players when they obviously knew the rules.
Another claim that has to be levied against the EFL is that its process of due diligence for Football club owners. It is not worth the paper that it's written on. We were informed more than once by the EFL that Ken Anderson had more than enough money to run the club. Obviously, no one at the EFL took their responsibility seriously enough to actually thoroughly check the facts, or if they did, they lied.
Whatever the truth is they should not now after an independent disciplinary commission has reviewed the case and given its verdict, be appealing its findings and the penalty that it felt think fit to impose.
Why appoint an independent body to look into a problem if you are not going to accept its decision? It makes no sense and is just another failing of the EFL to run our National game in a proper and fair way. Surely there has to be a better way to run football than let these clowns carry on in their dysfunctional way.
If only there was a way to change the face of the EFL.
Bit silly isn't it the EFL appealing against the panel they appointed especially when the EFL are trying to improve their image is S Harvey a special advisor to them or something after he stepped down.
