I think this could've been a good time to play Wan-Bissaka as the right sided CB and gone with Young at RB instead of playing with Jones. As much as I'm not a fan of Young, he's probably still a bigger threat than AWB in the final third.

I'm also not sure this system is the right way to go however if it is a back 3/5, I hope and given who's playing it should be a front 3 instead of a 2 with a man in behind. Width I think will be important today going forward and defensively seeing as how much they like to overload the wide areas. If they throw their CBs forward as much as they have been doing, there could be a decent amount of space to take advantage of.

Anyone think jones is going to be DM?

It’s defo a front three, surely?

And I can’t see any of those CBs playing in midfield today. That’d be a disaster waiting to happen.

Three CBs will give Pereira a little more freedom to support the attack and will cover the advanced wingbacks. We’ll just have to watch for overloading and quick switches down the flanks.
