Sacking Moyes too early for me

Quick on the troll today.

Employing managers stupidly.

Inability to negotiate competently.

Giving Mourinho an extension then refusing to back him.

Handing Ole the job so early.

Not appointing A director of football.

I agree he was wrong to allow SAF so much influence over his successor, but LVG and Jose were the best available at the time.

Appointing Ole as caretaker was a good move. I agree that Ole isn’t good enough to get us where we want to be, but we don’t know why Ole got the job (other candidates said no, weren’t ready, or couldn’t be released)

Ed has widely been lauded for negotiating deals. It’s what got him the job in the first place.

A director of football for me isn’t too important. We have individuals at the club that collective do that role.

We don’t know if Ed chose not to back Jose, or if he just couldn’t get the players Jose wanted. It no club gets everyone they want.

For me, his 3 biggest mistakes have been as follows -

Allowed SAF too much influence over who replaced him.

Agreed to Sanchezs wage demands.

Gave Ole the job on a permanent basis.

Moyes - That was SAF call
LVG - Who should we have got instead?
Not backing Jose - He did back Jose
Pogba - What about him?
Ole - I agree

You are aware we tried to get Pep and Ancelotti before we went for Moyes? The problem was the timing of the unfortunate death of Ferguson’s sister in law which no one could have foreseen, which put us in an incredibly difficult situation where we had no time to bring in a suitable replacement.

Not reforming the scouting system.

Not hiring DOF, who would have seen scouting was an issue straight away.

Sanchez's wages.

Hiring Ole too soon.

Not getting deals done quickly.

He has though... Pretty much every year we've added scouts or changed approach

We've just made an absolute balls of it

His biggest mistake is he knows feck all about football and his planning has been shiiite

Different managers with different philosophies... Leaves us with the mess of a squad we currently have

We've had no real plan or strategy... Up until now its throw money at it and hope for the best

And some of you are desperate for us to continue with this

Probably because we don't have "football person" in charge of it.

DOF's offer no guarantees of continuity either.
