Only got 5 min on here but I suspect we've had as many fines for sloppy

lazy stewarding as for pyros. Don't see any kvnt going Tonto over that.

SFA, SPFL, & UEFA set them aff themselves at Finals.

Hundreds of UEFA affliliate clubs are routinely fined for pyros.

In some FIFA affiliates it's not an offence.


IMO the focus on GB is only because of Celtic's dominance.

If the OF had shared the past 8 Leagues this thread wouldn't be here.

It fills newspaper columns and quiet days on forums.

Celtic fans spoiled over years.

Spoiled fvkin rotten btw & produced a subspecies of whiners.

Useful decoy for deflecting Bears as well.

This is barely newsworthy.

Sfa, spfl, UEFA all use pyro, correct, however they use them in a safe and controlled manner not in the middle of the crowd

I’m absolutely not sure at all why you mention rangers fans in this as this one is nothing to do with us, we have nothing to deflect upon and also, I would recon the amount of fines handed out to the one club is indeed newsworthy

I'm sorry but the Green Brigade have become the very antithesis of Celtic.
A small group of anonymoys, unelected individuals running a secret society.
Who are they?
How do you join?
Why don't they have about 40000 members instead of about 40?
Why does the club meet with this group?
Why do they get preferential trearment for away tickets?
Are they truly open to all?
Why do they complain about lack of investment when they don't but club merchandise?

Personally im looking firward to tomorrow night. Nae drums, nae half wit with a megaphone shouting vile nonsense at fellow supporters (including), nae minutes on end of repetitive chanting.
Maybe some Celtic songs from the crowd.
Are Ultras no a type of phanny pad anyway? Seems apt in their case.

I think they make some fair points, but they also downplay a fair bit their issues. I’d be fairly confident the club have asked them previously to stop using pyro, but they’ve ignored that. If I let off some pyro at a game, I’ve no doubt I wouldn’t get a second chance at the next match! Ejected and banned without any discussion. They’ve also constantly got off the hook with some of their banners. I think they get a lot of leeway from the club, and let’s be honest, they constantly abuse that. They might bring more to the club in terms of atmosphere, etc than I do-but they get a lot of preferential treatment as well that I don’t get.

There’s not going to be a perfect solution to this. This nature of being an ‘Ultras’ group means they have to be seen to be acting against ‘the man’, and the board have to be seen to be imposing the rules and keeping control of them.

It’s not the first time they’ve been at loggerheads, and as long as they’re there, it’ll continue.

They’ve just banned them indefinitely.

I don’t think that’s really pandering to them.

I believe they do a lot of charity work and they certainly bring a bit of colour and noise to the games. As for the pyros no feckin need, and if you are going to continue to use them then expect the inevitable consequences.

Why didn't the board ban them from Lazio home or away, both games after the last PYRO fine?

Why didn't they ban them at Lazio away when there were legitimate security concerns?

Why do it now?

I'll tell you why, because the game is a dead rubber and they're a bunch of hypocritical w@nkers who don't own up to their mistakes that happen pretty much every single transfer window.

This is a hugely important month for the club and for the board to do this now and potentially ban them for the cup final is a flucking shambles.

Timing isn’t great, but that’s kind of ignoring what the issue really is. As a fan, you can’t bring pyro into a game and set it off. They know this, and acknowledge they know this.

They want dialogue to solve this issue, which is the right way to go about it. But you don’t keep breaking the rules in the interim.
