Why didn't the board ban them from Lazio home or away, both games after the last PYRO fine?

Why didn't they ban them at Lazio away when there were legitimate security concerns?

Why do it now?

I'll tell you why, because the game is a dead rubber and they're a bunch of hypocritical w@nkers who don't own up to their mistakes that happen pretty much every single transfer window.

This is a hugely important month for the club and for the board to do this now and potentially ban them for the cup final is a flucking shambles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Timing isn’t great, but that’s kind of ignoring what the issue really is. As a fan, you can’t bring pyro into a game and set it off. They know this, and acknowledge they know this.

They want dialogue to solve this issue, which is the right way to go about it. But you don’t keep breaking the rules in the interim.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact BT sports and Uefa (amazingly) acknowledged the TIFO and PYRO against Cluj tells me it was worth it.

It was a flooking amazing spectacle that and anyone who'd rather just have fans standing with a wee happy clap as the players come out is talking out their erse.

I'm all for the PYRO being used in a controlled manner but we're not the only club where this happens, they're not the only ultra group ho continue to do it but the Celtic board are the only board who love to throw their fans under the bus at any opportunity.

If I remember correctly dialogue has been ongoing for several years advising and warning the GB about the impact and consequences of flares and political banners. It seems pretty clear to me that the GB ignore this dialogue. Well done to our Board for, at last, banning these so called fans who think that they are above the law.

The dialogue has been much more than banners and PYRO.

The idea, like any club with an ultra fan group is to engage and mitigate risk and safety concerns as much as possible.

The problem we have is the S.O at Celtic is a flucking b@wbag who i'd love to see hit by a bus for more reasons than one.

That’s an exaggeration. If that was the case, they’d have got rid of them a long, long while ago. They’ve have plenty of opportunities to disband them, but haven’t.

It’s the same group over and over again, but I think this is only the second time or third time they’ve decided to ban them. In 15 years, they’ve had plenty of opportunities to throw them under the bus with various issues, and haven’t.

Time for them to reign it in. The club worked with them to get safe standing, they allocated them their own area, they allow them in to prepare their banners and set up displays, despite a fair few of them clearly going over the top.

Neither side is completely blameless, but their is one thing that we know definitively. You’re not allowed pyro inside the ground if that game is held in Scotland or under the UEFA regulations. Yet, we know they constantly disregard this. We can’t defend the indefensible. You can try to change that, but continuously showing a disregard to the club, to the laws of the land, to the rules of governing bodies and to other fans isn’t the way to go about it.

The GB have been warned far too many times, ignored them and by their action they continued to flash two fingers to the Club they profess to love. This action should have been taken against them a long time ago and I can only hope that the prat with the megaphone and drummer are amongst those excluded.

Should ultra's call themselves ultras? Feels like that should make you a non ultra

I wasn’t just meaning the GB, should have expanded in that. I know of instances where the club have helped the Police burst through some fans doors for having the audacity to sing BOTOB AND ROH.

All the whilst pretending to be against the OBAFA, the boardroom is rotten with kants only caring about the money coming in as has been evident in the way we’ve conducted business the last 2 years.

I imagine the size of Lawwell these days that there’s very few doors would withstand him running at it...

If the police ask for info, they need to give it to them. If fans have, in the eyes of the police and the PF, broken the law, then I don’t think the club can do much else.

It’s not nice, and there’s a debate over how these songs should be classified, but the club ultimately have to cooperate with the police. I’m not sure anyone at the club wants done for obstruction.

We know that the use of pyrotechnics may bring consequences therefore accept the inevitable sanctions for using it
++++

Seriously , this sums them up ....they know what comes with it but they continue with it ?!?

And if they accept it then what's with the big press release ?

Idiots

They really don't help themselves

"accept the sanctions" only they dont if they paid the fines that were issued then fine but they dont so they accepting any sanctions at all. the very fact that the made the statement goes against that they clearly dont accept the sanctions

Banning them 3 days before just stinks imo.

As for the statement about pyros from the GB. That’s the level of people the club are trying to deal with. Children.

From what I’ve seen, most of them are of school age

What's the issue with doing it 3 days beforehand??

Fck them

Im with most folk on this , love them , they provide an unrivaled atmosphere and they a big reason to our success

But at the same time they can't behave themselves and more importantly they provide a lot of shietey songs
Edouard,lustig , Armstrong ... awful

And they keep ignoring James Forrest , and they never gave Pr7 a song

Coonts !!

What is really says is that they are happy to accept sanctions that they agree with.

Bin the lot of them. Put their tickets up for sale to the waiting list. Ban megaphones and drums. Give me two tickets for Ross County.

Job done.
