Thought Mata should have gone off earlier znd Martial should have stayed on.

But today we conceded because of poor defensive errors.

Sheffield Utd we setup wrong anf reverted to everything wrong after taking the lead.

Ultimately this squad has found its level at mid table.

Apparently Paunch will make all of these players world class and we'll be in the hunt for the title by March!

I feel your pain OP. The squad isn't very good and no manager can make them so.

Well when you look at the organisation of teams like Sheff U, and factor in that man for man your players are superior, you have to wonder why he can’t organise your side to stop leaking sloppy goals and to start controlling games.

Ole is clearly the problem and United fans that don’t realise that are deluding themselves.

Rashford running the ball out of play
AWB looking like he is playing with a rugby ball whilst in possession.
Maguire turning like a disabled pensioner
Lindelof having the strength of a pre-pubescent girl
James crossing the ball into empty space.
-------------------------
Its the manager's job to make these players better, coach out the mistakes and address their weaknesses by teaching them to doing something different to get to the same result.

Nothing.

The club needs to offload the entire squad - and sort out the worst academy in the top flight

They've been poor and getting poorer for 7 seasons.

Changing manager will change nowt.

He signed Maguire and AWB who are simply not good enough.

We will be sitting around 15th most likely after spurs and city games. Is that acceptable?

Cool.

Poch gets the job tonight. What does he do different that ensures we win against both?

Answer the question in the OP.

Wiffy waffling. He is out of his depth. He must go.

Agree on Maguire.
However both Pep and Jose wanted him, Ole was just the unlucky manager who got him and allowed the world to see he is a mid table defender.

We could have done better than AWB but if he improves (unlikely I admit) it is a fine signing.

Out of Jose's signings only Ibra was a success and he got 2.5 years.

If he knew the answer he wouldn’t be sitting on his sofa typing comments on a forum. That’s why managers get paid millions.

It’s not acceptable, but Ole isn’t solely to blame.
Ok you can argue his subs and changes throughout a game are not right, or too late.

But ultimately its a combination of an inexperienced manager (who has the right intentions) and a squad that’s the worst it’s been at United in terms of quality, and quality in depth, for a long time.

Unfortunately it’s not going to improve to where we want it to be for a long time.
We’ve got to get used to it, suffer for a while and try and enjoy the few moments we can.

A new manager might give us a response for a few games but we’ll be back to square one again. No progress since 2013.

God I hate football right now, utterly depressing

Why people are complaining is beyond me. The players we sold are rubbish. James will out-contribute Sánchez In much less time. He already is more than half way to matching his goal total of 3 😂

But onto my point those players we let go are not good enough to get us top 4 and with or without them makes no difference as we won’t get top 4. To of had a chance Ed and the Glazers needed to secure us key midfielders and attackers and keeping dross to compensate would have been counterproductive as they won’t get us top 4 and would be in the way of seeing if our young players have what it takes.

Ole knows he needs to shift the deadwood to make way for some of our younger players to play. Having players like Lukaku and Sánchez on huge wages sitting on the bench is not logical or possible and I’m glad Ole is taking drastic action as there is a plan in place. Hopefully in the next 3/4 windows we will see some new signings in midfield and attack and who knows maybe 1 or 2 young players will make the grade.

We won’t get top 4 and that reality was secured when Ed failed to get in who we needed. But in terms of scrapping rubbish; ole is doing what’s needed. These same players have failed

There's not much any manager can do in the short term. But Poch would be a good long term appointment so why wait.

Jose is regarded as the archetypal defensive manager and superb at setting up teams defensively yet we shipped silly goals like no other and couldn't control games.

Not a new problem. The constant is the squad quality.

Jose's judgement in transfers is poor these days. It's a case of keep buying until you get it right with him.

City wanted Maguire but ran a mile when they saw his price.

Solksjaer is out of his depth. I think it's crazy you're not going all out for Poch. He is clearly a far superior manager who would get you playing much better.

Roy Keane that’s now the past and is superseded by the horrendous performances. You’d probably happily see united be relegated and keep Ole

I'm not on the WUM or blindly standing by Ole.

I'd genuinely like to know because I've had views in the past on tactical/formation/personnel selection mistakes that Moyes, LvG and Jose made but this time I'm stumped some radical player selections aside.
