Madison would be too expensive and unnecessary if we get Bruno.
Grealish would be good, but seems to like drifting to the left a lot just like Rash, Martial and James. We need a right sided forward.

Grealish slows it down too much for me. Holds the ball up far too long and that would be a massive frustration. Good player just not suited for us imo

How much is that down to the way villa play? He's the only one who can make things happen in that team, so ends up taking longer on the ball. We would learn more seeing him play for England around better players.
grealish and maddison are a level above rice, would prefer grealish, we need a player who can dictate the tempo of a game, maddison is a brilliant player but those direct runners with very good ball control are far more common(despite us not able to find any) than players who can control the tempo of a game
Calvin Phillips is a better DM than Rice. Really hope United spunk 60-70m on Rice.

I wouldn't want any of those three but if I had to pick one, it would be Grealish as I think he'd be the better fit for the left-sided position in a midfield three if we were ever to go back to setting up like that and Pogba left the club. I also think Grealish is more creative from open play and the more gifted ball carrier between him and Maddison - just a better footballer really.
If we sign Bruno and continue setting up the way we are, then there's no place for Grealish and Maddison especially in the team. Signing one of them would be a waste.
Declan Rice isn't a bad player but I'd like the next holding player we buy to be much better on the ball. I like the look of Marc Roca at Espanyol and also Amadou Diawara at Roma.
I'd also rather start giving more chances to Garner and Levitt than bring players like Rice, Longstaff and Winks in.

I was thinking Saul as the B2B, Mct says as DM, and Grealish and Fernandez as AM choices. Look at City, they dont settle for just one AM, we need multiple told.players for each spot if we want to compete.
Hopefully we get one AM this months second in the summer.

Would love someone at the club who can take a set piece like Maddison though.
Can Fernandes hit a FK or corner? We've been shiyte for years. Might actually see Maguire becomming a threat at set pieces if someone could take one properly too (with a bit of pace on).

Would be nice having someone who can whip in a FK when they're at an angle from out wide, right between the keeper and the defensive line for the likes of Maguire to attack. Like KDB can for City. Ours are pathetically floated in high and long, and always need to be won twice for a chance of a goal.
Grealish or Maddison. If Bruno happens we won't need to go for either (if Bruno is a hit).
