Yeah, I'm confident we are going up this year.. I never really panicked during the 'run of form' we seemed to have overcome.
but, like I keep telling my son, we do things the hard way, so expect some more twists and turns.
Always remain positive though... would much rather be positive and wrong, than negative and right.
just feel its a much happier place to be
๐คฃ.....The Spanish Italians....after my treading on eggshells to avoid certain wording, you come out and blow it up in your first line! Love it....hope you are right mate๐
I would say it's more optimistic nervousness
As an optimistic pessimist I can honestly say when we win the world is in a better place.
I'm certainly more confident this season for a few reasons.
1. We have the best fixture run in by far, our rivals have hard games.
2. We are clearly better than the teams behind us this time. Sheffield Utd were as good as us.
3. Can't see history repeating itself again. Just think we'll get through this time.
My only concerns are
1. Lack of goals (more Wigan's)
2. Fulham in a 6 pointer at ER. Norwich, Sheff Utd and Derby all beat us last season in the BIG games.
I think that we're better placed this season, but I'm concerned about weaker squad and conscious that Bielsa's club teams have track record of failing to achieve, we cannot ignore how bad it was end of last season and how we threw away 2 chances, firstly auto promotion, then from 2-0 up at home in second leg to lose that too.
Really taking nothing for granted this season.

- may as well be upfront from the start mate
Our final ball is absolutely dreadful this season and rarely put away when the ball finally does come into the right place, but....we have a much more experienced squad and the benefit of having a settled manager and coaching staff.
The run in and whether or not it looks like we are facing weaker teams, mean absolutely zero.
We lost to Wigan a few weeks ago and threw a 3 goal lead away against Cardiff when seemingly very very comfortable.

Agree with most of that to be fair..
wouldn't say 'weaker' squad as such.. think we have a better defender in White over Pontus.
Roofe was proven compared to Eddie / big Kev, but him and Bamford were hardly ever fit at the same time for the option of second striker... so yeah, weaker strike force, don't disagree with you there, but not a weaker 'fit' strike force I don't think.
I actually think we're lucky Bamford hasn't been injured this season, like last, or we could of really suffered.
I get your point though J-dog

Keep hearing this about the run in, we all know teams seem to try and raise they game against us and almost every team is playing for something, Hull and Hudds to avoid relegation, Cardiff for playoff spot, Fulham for autos, Luton fighting relegation, Blackburn for playoffs, Stoke fighting relegation, Swansea for playoffs, Barnsley and Charlton fighting relegation and then Derby might get points deduction and would love to do us again after play offs, there are simply no givens here.
Regarding Bamford, who has obviously been getting a lot of stick....what happens if he actually does get injured??? Who’s going up top?

Well, you could play our 40k per week new striker...but he's injured. You could play our 25k new winger...but he's not even in the squad any more. You could play 35k per week Costa up there, or maybe Jordan Stevens.
We've been extremely fortunate regarding injury to Bamford.

Was thinking this myself. We tried Roberts up front last season but he is hardly ever fit so cannot rely on him to step in
Roberts will play up top if Bamford is out. Roberts played there last season for a bit, played and scored against Hull infact.
Can't we wait and see what Bielsa thinks if something happens?..
He's got us for the second time on the bounce higher than anybody has at this time of a season, so, I'm thinking he'll have plans for anything that might come!..
Again the team is getting shot up before anything really happens!..
Its like people are living in hope something happens!..

Agree Shaun.. a couple of months ago I would of said Costa, but not so sure now.

Tyler Roberts is made of glass, simply cannot reply on him at present.

“Getting a lot of stick” from whom and where?
Not from the Leeds fans at 3 of the last 4 games they have played based on my observation. In fact to the contrary at Boro where his name was sung at least 2 or 3 times during the game.

From watching on tv I would say the fan support for Bamford and Kiko has been excellent despite their recent form, no one can have any complaints regarding that.
Deluding yourself if you are still think Roberts is good enough. Barely gets minutes on the pitch and when he does he rapidly breaks down. Has he scored this season at any level?
Will get more edgy nearer the time as still 33 points to play for - anything could happen over 11 games.
