I don’t really get the logic in that though. It was only pivotal because of the misses, so surely the misses are pivotal too?

pool have had some "luck" not in their football they have been the best in England but they have been lucky not be unlucky. Eventually all teams get an unlucky break its just the law of averages that it will happen at least a few times a season.

Pivotal in that Atletico basically would have had to change their game plan!
From parking the bus and conceding 2 goals and 35 shots to actually having to attack.

Likelihood is that we would have had more clear cut chances.
