It only says England in the link. Does that mean that it is not applicable to those in the rest of the UK? I don't want to sign up then wee Betty in Bristol is waiting on her shopping and I just have to start cycling down from Edinburgh to not let her down

I'm still working full-time but fair play to people doing this.

Good work guys

Not sure the US is doing something like this as yet. Will probably end up just doing a lot for my neighbours when they return from Florida the next few days.

It was actually a serious post. I was wondering if I can still apply in Scotland. I just added extra words

Had already signed up to a local scheme. One of the silver linings to this situation is that you get reminded that there are a huge number of decent and caring people out there. Sometimes that’s easy to forget in the acrimonious world we live in.

Well done everyone, but make sure you’re properly protected.

I’m wfh after today, going in one last day to try and get ahead of myself and tie off any loose ends. I could possibly sign up depending on how much time would need to be sacrificed (probably the wrong wording calling it a sacrifice).

Me and my next door neighbour went around all our cul-de-sac/street on Sunday afternoon just before the inevitable lockdown and offered any help as there’s a good few houses with older couples in and some single parents that probably don’t want to take the kids to the supermarkets now.

Plan was that I go past a supermarket every morning on my way to work so it was easy for me to call for anything people needed that couldn’t get, now I’ll have to just venture out while wfh but still willing to go.

Mrs is a nurse who obviously will be out all day still, she was fitted for her mask yesterday.

We can vol to be a phone friend from home in the NHS scheme and this is through the Royal Volunteer Service.

You will be linked up locally to people in your area who are alone, and do not need to leave your house.

I have asthma and am fit enough, nd loce dtiving and roding my bike si would deluver food and meds willingly, but I may be a burden if I get it , so the phone line option is wise if you are in the vulnerable category.

Isn’t asthma one of the underlying health conditions you really don’t need?

Maybe you should do the phone calls TBAB?

Yes sizzle bud, that is my plan.

Stay safe in that Landan, mate.♥️

Belfast area is the worst hit too, so it is a city centric virus, for obvious reasons.

5 dead in NI with 171 cases.

Excel ent work there from army and NHS and similar field hospitals going up in Brum and Manc land.

That should also scare fools into taking it seriously.

Shepherd's Bush park sun seekers and young people here in East Antrim who gather outside to party and taunt cops.

Unfortunately your average teenagers now days don't have brains and are not taking this seriously. They think just because there young they won't catch it , they will end up responsible for spreading this. Anyone over 18 is probably taking this seriously the youth are not , maybe they should take ones they catch out on to the ICU wards and show them what this illness does.
