say they don't call the league, even though they will.

they chimps would be unbearable (no pun intended), smug about it and everything.

i'd rather we were the ones who get to chuckle about it, and if they say "disnae count" then 10 will, and so will 11.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think they've got a lot more to worry about than us getting the 9 whether it's this season or next.

They took carole baskins husband instead.

They really need to scrap this vote and start again. Perhaps even doing what they should have in the first place. Properly discuss all 6 options and then decide as a group whaich ones to vote on.

Even doing the same vote again but properly would be better than what they are doing now.

Lets say Dundee secure agreements in addition to the vote on the table, whats to then stop anyone saying thats not what i voted for.

YOu wouldn't have thought it possible bu they are somehow managing to make it worse everyday
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think they can just scrap it as 85% teams voted for it. Some might understandably not be happy at the way it was done but that doesn't mean they'd change their vote.

This needs to be finalised I'd think.

Are there 5 other alternatives?

The only one I can see is that of clubs applying for loans on a case by case basis.

Null and void isn't an option as I believe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
even holding the same vote again is better than what they are doing now
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you see any teams changing their vote if they could?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dont know but at least it would resove this and we could move on or look at a different option.

I cant see Dundee changing their vote to yes after being offered xyz resolving anything as clubs will rightly say that's not the proposal they voted on
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't see anyone changing their vote mate.

Yes they may be angry at feeling they've been railroaded but bottom line is that they will have voted on what's best for them. So unless something other than their circumstances have changed you'd think they'd vote the same way a second time around.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Circumstances have changed. clubs now now they can request an advance on prize money regardless of vote
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep. On a case by case basis.

And what security will they offer up? How long will it take to get all these individual agreements written and signed off?

Good luck with that and join the back of the queue.

What delights will the professionalism of Scottish Football bring us today? What team will come out and agree/ disagree with Dundee?

While Scottish football decides to fight amongst itself, we at Dundee United have decided to fight internally instead, with the club issuing a statement telling one of the (admittedly more controversial) fan groups to effectively feck off. Wonderful stuff.

When will lockdown be extended until early May?

I note Keir Starmer has written to the government asking them to outline their exit plan. Until an exit plan is drafted - and I would expect it to be one based around testing - then I cannot foresee a situation where the devolved governments will agree to lifting the lockdown. Regardless, it will be a gradual lifting of it anyway whenever it does come - don't expect the pubs open any time soon.

here how funny would that be.

rangers die

reincarnate

celtic plod along and then when rangers are "back ur they bulong!" we smash then with 3 consecutive trebles.

then they go bust again.

back just so we could schite on their heeds before they die again

that would be amazing btw honestly.

i'd feel sorry for some of the guys on here but in general i'd be like "ha ha ha that's karma for having anticatholic pigphucks in your support"

or something like that.

2m to join the dole queue already Ivan and a third of businesses due to go bust, rising to half in the next 3 months.

Add to that we have another batty scientist who thinks we will be social distancing until 2022.

Unbelievable. The loss of life and set back from what we've done already is in the post and will cost far more lives.

Are we actually expected to believe that more than 40 clubs were compleyely unaware of such a fundamental part of the rules....rules that btw the clubs drafted and approved.

Many of those clubs have had members on the board. Were those board members managing the business without ever having read the rule book.

That's absolute nonsense. It's the biggest load of nonsense in this whole episode.

There's a balance here between economics and health and I understand the point you're making.

But it hinges on us returning to the same economic model that has been in place for a century or so.

The question now is - can we replace that model with something else? Something fairer, something more equitable and something that can make lives better for everyone.

I don't think returning to the status quo is acceptable now and it's a golden opportunity for change.

Sadly I don't trust the UK government to grasp that nettle, but I think some governments around the globe will. Even the Spanish are embracing Universal Income.

I think the SPFL should just sit back now and essentially request their members to put in other proposals to be considered.

Inform Dundee that they can come back with their vote when they are good and ready and from there essentially ignore them, or at least stop chasing them.

Send a memo round to all clubs informing them that they can apply for an emergency loan and to set out the conditions they will need to meet before being considered.

In the meantime........

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Eh?

Herd immunity will happen naturally. Unless you physically isolate every single person then there will be an element of virus spread.

We are merely slowing it down.

The severity of the lockdown is what is hurting the economy. That and the complete uncertainty of any future and lack of any type or semblance of a plan that can allow businesses to make decisions.

Listening to the radio this morning and a few small business owners were on saying how they’ve practically used up all their cash, are digging into their overdrafts and now have no idea whether it is worth it or not.

For many it’s much simpler to just close the doors and shut up shop thereby laying staff off and cutting his losses. And why wouldn’t they?

Lockdown was the most cruel and blunt instrument we could ever have used. As such it was also the only one to try and at least manage the numbers of sick. It’s not the answer though and you can’t use it until some other boffin thinks they’ve got a vaccine.

What delights will the professionalism of Scottish Football bring us today? What team will come out and agree/ disagree with Dundee?

It's funny because the more i think about this, Dundee could play a blinder and actually bring about league reconstruction whereby no one gets relegated, we all get the prize money and from next season we'll have what we have craved for some time, a bigger premiership with changes to the format. A lot of work still to be done though.

When will lockdown be extended until early May?

May 8th will be the earliest, i imagine we'll start a gradual lifting of it thereafter but i suspect most places will still be closed throughout May and into June.

If you could choose one person in this world to be kidnapped by aliens and never returned, what sort of spaceship would you like to see Piers Morgan go in?

Katie Hopkins.

Piers Morgan can be a total erse but he's been nothing short of spot on throughout this pandemic.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is it absurd mate? There are strict guidelines on how you can continue to work. If they can’t comply then workers don’t have to attend.

The instructions have been there since lockdown.

And what is lockdown anyway? All we’ve done is close down the economy almost in totality with no idea of the repercussions. The repercussions are only starting and people are for the first time realising what the “cost” of this all is, including the future “hidden costs”. They are already outweighing the benefits we have achieved.

I get the fact we had to allow the NHS and other services to build resource and it’s clear we need a bit more time. But then what?

I don't think working is the problem ginger, I think if the factory takes measure then fine, it usually 4 people in a "cell" per product, they have changed this to 2 I think and are rotating shifts by offering backshift.

working imo, isn't the issue, if they keep that distance and keep the canteen closed.

getting to work however... trains, buses - big problem.
